    1. Thank you for this take, what people are saying is valid but it’s just another gossip story. But tik tok and the internet has recently went from shaming women’s looks/sexuality to now shaming their character as “not correct” in a way men aren’t shamed. Ariana has been Ariana, this isn’t shocking news. She’s a troubled person. Criticise her actions but don’t allow people to cross that line where you weaponise feminism and ethics to just perform internalised misogyny. It’s obvious to me so it was nice to see a YouTube also talk about this. Unfortunately people aren’t seeing the bigger picture outside this story.

    2. This isn't the first time Ariana Grande has done something "unsavoury". She has a history of troubling behaviour related to race, licking donuts in a shop (???🤦🏻‍♀️), going after men who are already in relationships etc. I know the last cannot simply be blamed on Ariana since the men are equally in the wrong. But she has a brain and I am hoping, a conscience too. She knows they are taken so why can't she stay away. Even if they are the one approaching her, girl maintain your distance. How difficult is it to establish boundaries? This is why I understand why she is getting the hate, not because it is suddenly now justified to hate her because of this Ethan Slater bs.

    3. Unfollow her on her social media accounts – heck block her, stop listening to her music or buying her products, do not go to see anything she is ever in. Simple solutions to the situation if you disagree with her choices. But hatred? More than the wife? Please get over your self righteous vitriol. Save it for matters of personal import.

    4. about the theater crushes – i think the movie Lady Bird touched on this when Lady Bird started to like Danny 🤷🏻‍♀️😅

    5. Full ass projection from a lot of women but it IS valid. My husband has a girl like Arianna in his gym who has a pattern of behavior of being overly comfortable with taken men. She was "in love" with my husband, overstepped boundaries with another girls boyfriend, and was texing a different girls boyfriend. When confronted, she has changed exactly zero of her behaviors. They exist out there and it sucks to have a woman like her around, especially if she doesn't wanna learn or change.

Also, its not up to women to educate other grown women about how to act around married/taken men. If, by the time you're 26, you don't understand not to meddle in someones relationship…thats on you. Im not bringing a woman like that into my circle. She isnt trustworthy. Leopards don't change their spots and snakes shed their skin to become bigger snakes.

    6. When i tell you that i was obsessed with this woman , she was one of my favorites musicians but after this? I can't even look at her

    7. I respect the empathy because that’s coming from a mature standpoint but I genuinely feel this is nice in theory, but not necessary. I think she DO need empathy but from her social circle so she can actually reflect on her trauma. But as a fan…celebrities see us as a monolith, a hive mind so if 90% is shaming but 10% empathic well to Ari we’re all shaming her…

Sometimes people are in the wrong, it is what it is and you can’t sugarcoat it. These are one of those situations…I mean no one is considering if the husband had trauma…we wanted to go there I’m sure all three of them have trauma now… so be fair and give empathy to the cheating husband too….it’s best not to play that card really

    8. I agree to disagree with you on this one. She has history of cheating on her boyfriends with men who are already in a committed relationship. She has a pattern, that is well known and that has been observable. The only woman bold enough to call her out on her bullshit was the late Naya Riviera. Big Sean was a dog on this one, but Ariana knew he was engaged.

Why people are extremely mad on this one ? There is a whole child involved. It's incredibly perverse to befriend your co-star wife, liking their picture on Instagram about how they love each other, hanging out with her and their baby only to turn around and fcking the husband to the point where HE LEAVES HIS 10 YEARS + relationship for you. That husband is piece of shit, no discussion needed for this one. But Ariana is disgusting for this one and nobody want to tolerate this trashy behavior of hers. Of all the men in the world that she can have, it's always👏🏽men👏🏽who👏🏽are👏🏽committed👏🏽.
She herself know what it is like to have a failed marriage. She should know better than nobody else the pain that is coming from this to the point of not inflicting it to somebody else and yet, she did.

    9. Thank you for an intelligent, sensitive and well-informed video (and for your videos on pop culture in general)! Here’s my take: I can understand people’s emotions running high over these news (essentially GOSSIP news); but PLEASE let’s not confuse these reactions with FEMINISM or even with SOLIDARITY amongst women. Infidelity is NOT like RAPE, or ABUSE towards young girls, or domestic VIOLENCE, or gender-based DISCRIMINATION ! Let’s hold some perspective beyond projecting our own fears or anger of being abandoned, cheated on, etc. Some of my dearest friends have raised their children without a partner and their family was not condemned but turned out really well and happy! Yes, relationships can hurt people, but being public judge and jury WON’T HELP anybody or any cause I assure you! I dream of the days when activism and compassion in the REAL world will displace some of the parasocial illusion of justice. Thank you!

    10. misogyny doesnt have much to do with it this time madi, its right over wrong 100%. there is a child involved in this, she knew this completely.

    11. JLaw fell off because she told a story about completely disrespecting a sacred indigenous site she was shooting at with the same "I'm so relatable, look how goofy I am" tone that only a white woman could get away with thinking is cute and it made everybody kinda snapped out of it and got over her lil shtick.

    12. i don’t think using being a girls girl vs not being one should be used to further divide women and abandon those who aren’t deemed a girls girl but i do still think it’s a valuable term when it comes to giving a warning. Women who are not girls girl seek male validation at the expense of other women and it’s good to know that about someone upfront so they don’t hurt you down the line.

    13. I really enjoyed your commentary on this. I didn't know anything about this situation beforehand, but in general the things you said about this weird obsession on celebrity relationships and the labelling of women is really tiring and unnecessary.

    14. I just feel bad for the wife, I wouldn’t wish that crushing emotional pain on anyone, the pain her child will feel later in life will also reopen the wound many times over. In this world you reap what you sow, nothing is just a bump it will find you again later.

    15. Maybe Ariana's just showing us all that men, who really like to say how women would do anything for a man with enough money and fame, are just the same if not worse 😀

    16. Quick side note, is that kandinsky in the background? The art pieces I mean?? I swear it looks like his work, one of my favorite artists

    17. I‘m not familiar with Ariana since I‘m not interested in celebs, but I in general recent tropes like „the home wrecker“, „the evil other woman who seduces a married man“ and a cringe delulu „secret sisterhood between women in general“. We’re talking about adult people who are more than capable of making their own decisions. Personally, I think if you’re single and you fall for a married person, you have zero responsibility for that person‘s family. It‘s on their account to make a decision and live with the consequences. Regardless of gender. And I think Lily‘s comment is quite internalized misogyny, since it portrays the other woman as a calculative, scheming destroyer — which is bs since it totally misses the fact that the man made the active decision to cheat and leave. It was his responsibility to handle the situation and he willfully let it go south.

    18. Honestly, this is between the three of them. No one knows the full story between them. I’m not invested in their lives unless it involves violence, abuse, and incredibly terrible things. Her music still slaps.

    19. This definitely seems like the result of a heavy, heavy bias on your part towards Ari. Her actions are repeated and without remorse. We all have issues, but I don't use those issues to selfishly destroy other relationships. Especially considering she has so much money and power, she should seriously invest those resources into therapy if this is such an issue for her.
