I think it's fine for celebrities to voice their opinions or support during times like these, but I think it's really insensitive for this specific conflict because he should know damn well what's going on over there. It takes less than an hour to get a good grasp on this conflict if you aren't familiar. He really should have learned it during highschool, it's not something you just forget. I mean it's only been going for three fkn quarters of a century. 🤦♀️
It's very raw out there right now, and there are people who are going to support Israel, and people who support Gaza. I feel if you don't want to get "harassed" and/or "cancelled" you should probably not say anything either way, unless of course you have family/friends there & are praying for them and are asking others to pray for them. Celebrities would side with genocide, propaganda and colonization. What happenes this weekend was horrific. And that has been the reality of Palestinians for decades upon decades. Theyve been systematically wiped out. Israeli government knew this attack was coming and allowed it because now theyre backed by the western world to complete their genocide. I mourn for the innocent lives lost and disrupted in israel, but it does not erase the atrocities that israel has committed against palestinians for far longer and with far greater damage. I urge everyone to find reputable sources on this, and to realize that the US and brittain created israel as a strong hild in the middle east and continue to benefit from this genocide.

I’ve actually done a lot of research into this as i do not trust MSM after the Johnny Depp trial it was a real eye opener to me realising just how must BS they print . Often I would ask myself are they watching the same trial , given it’s very complex and you have to actually understand history when the British gave away a country that wasn’t theirs to give Palestine has been under illegal occupation since 1948. I think unless they are well researched they should say nothing . If you ask me, celebrities should stay quiet. They have no clue about half of the things going on.
You should be able to speak out about important issues. But the fact that they are speaking about it now- only when publicized media has only focused on the lives of Israeli civilians- is disingenuous. If anyone cares about atrocities committed, they should be speaking out about it and condemning ALL of it. The reason they are getting backlash is that the PEOPLE understand what is going on. Any stance against the settler colonial state of "Israel" makes someone an enemy of the nation states that fund and support the heinous atrocities committed and sanctioned by the Israeli government.
