Hello everybody my name is luk mAh and this is hotl mode and today on hotl mode we are coming to you with your Vanity Fair Afterparty Oscars 2024 fashion roast and review listen we have a lot of looks to get through I believe it is 47

So buckle up buttercups it’s going to be very interesting ride starting off we’re going to start with adwa aboa who is wearing Marne now this is from the fall 2024 collection it’s this leather halter neck dress that shows a lot of skin on the side cuz it has these deep little

Plunge cutouts and also has a little bit of shoulder action there’s no sleeves to it and then right at like the mid hip it sort of fans out and creates this really interesting sort of silhouette I like those dresses on the runway and I like

It here I think that ad looks nice I like the red shoe I think it really pops with the lip I think it brings everything back together I think it works I think that it fits well enough that I’m not upset and annoyed about it all said and done interesting dress cool

Silhouette not making crazy waves but at the same time like am I going to sit in the ocean with my little floaty drinking a my time absolutely next up we have Alexandra dorio who is wearing Alexi mobile who I believe is an ouier it’s not one of the okore shows that I

Usually look at so I apologize I probably should because this gigantic bow dress St this is that is right at my alley listen it’s a well-fitted floor length gown it fits nicely I enjoy it I’m happy but the big bow at the neckline that never actually stops and

Creates kind of like an infinite loop around the back of her body and becomes almost like a stole piece so hot so sexy so cool so fashion I also like the fact that she’s playing into it she understands she has to push it out she

Has to play with the piece she has to sell the Garment to us cool to see that in this sort of cream simple silhouette besides the neckline you can do something really cool and Chic and interesting and memorable and wonderful so yes thank you next up we have anaki

Who is wearing AIA this is from the most recent aiia collection The Collection that we all loved now here ano is wearing this beautiful purple dress I believe I’m pretty positive this is a dress and it is all about this idea of draping which we can see in the top part

Of the dress or the top part of this two-piece set the Gathering that goes and creates a loop in the skirt as well there is also a slit which I think is amazing you can’t really see it but right at the edge you can actually see that there are these leather belts that

Are actually kind of cut to look and loop and create sort of little strips that Loop into each other it’s just it’s a really cool look I like this idea of this continuing of the loop even into the accessories like the belt the color looks gorgeous on her a no could wear

Anything and I’d be like yeah great love it but this I think also showcases the fact that like she she people that get it get it next up we have Ariana greenblat who is wearing ver Wang it’s a halter neck black fitted gown that has a

Large bustle likee train at the back in silk we can see that the actual gown itself is much more matte and then the bustle is very silky which is why there’s that differentiation of the shades again Ariana greenblat I think she’s really coming into her own and

She’s doing it in a way that doesn’t feel like campy or kitchy rather she’s doing beautiful gowns really stunning Silhouettes and also she sing it up like that red velvet style that we saw her from ver Wang in recently loved beautiful dress stunning on her and here I think that she’s continuing this

Really smart relationship like ver knows how to make a gorgeous dress and at the same time she’s keeping the silhouette somewhat similar but she’s differentiating them just a little bit in order to keep us interested yet still feel like we’re getting the same sort of

Va voom moment that we want she’s a kid she’s young she’s a baby she’s a fashioned baby she’s not even fashioned girl yet cuz like she’s still baby happy content love to see it can’t wait till next season next up we have Barry Kean who is wearing Mei I don’t hate listen

It looks like a Chanel jacket to me but I think that’s just because I’m so used to like considering black and white jackets with these little sort of embroideries Chanel esque I also think that like the looped piping along the cuffs and the pockets and the lapels and

The collar are a really really Chic and very lovely to look at but also kind of remind me of of piping of Chanel pieces the pants I don’t love the pants I really don’t love the pants I think they’re a little baggy on him the shoes

Are fine I don’t hate don’t love they’re just there and I do like the tank top I feel recognized but I think the jacket in and of itself very cool very exciting I like to see it I almost wish that there was a matching pant to be honest I

Just think that a fitted pant would have been better here and would have really helped to just let that jacket be the star while not drawing negative attention to the thigh area because of the baggie so thank you everybody in their mother wanted me to talk about Camila Mendes wearing Tamara Ralph love

Beautiful gorgeous stunning listen I know people are going to be like that’s essentially the scaparelli dress that we see and it’s like yeah does it remind me obviously of the beautiful sort of coral lung scaparelli dress that Bella Hadid wore toan a few years ago sure 100% this

Rose version by a totally different designer is also still very good it doesn’t knock the fact that it’s nicely done listen you get inspiration from somebody totally fine but if you get inspiration for somebody and then you make a nice dress I will appreciate the fact that it’s a beautifully made dress

I love the roses in this gold I love the fact that it’s pretty much a halter neck dress because of the jewelry element in the bodice I love the fit I love the mermaid skirt I love the fact that it’s actually almost I was going to say that it had to

Beiz but I don’t know if it’s actually a krine or it’s just like layers of tul and pet coat sort of layered underneath there not really sure I I haven’t seen a video of her moving or not but either way I like how exaggerated it is and yet something about it just sitting

Perfectly within that Circle where the photo call is like where all the celebrities are supposed to stand is kind of great too cuz I thought that was a part of the dress yet I also think that the mermaid skirt element doesn’t detract from the beauty up top it it

Just sort of enhances it and because that black velvet is so deep and it really sucks in a lot of color and I feel like I keep talking about black and sucking a lot of color but I listen it’s just what that color does especially in

A velvet really does hold the light it’s like a black hole it’s the the black hole of fabrics lovely I think it’s beautiful I think it works she looks stun stunning next up we have cardi B who is wearing vintage Versace now this is an atellier Versace look from the

Spring 2003 collection it’s oour and the collection was called mysterious midnights and it was Donatella Versace doing I think for the first time ever like a presentation of O cure or itell Versace I like the dress I feel like it’s a little reminiscent of the iconic

Miss SNM sort of neckline you have a sort of band that creates a collar and wraps around the neck but then you have three different pieces that sort of strap on and hold themselves up but instead of it being all about leather and things like that it’s much more

About this idea of O Couture and embellishment and sewing and plucking and putting and all that sort of stuff in terms of the crystals and the shiny bits and Bobs I do think the dress fits her beautifully the little lace area too as we sort of see it hit around the knee

Changes up the material and the medium that we’re getting but I don’t really think that it hurts it in any way these are feathers or maybe they’re strips of fabric these little sort of lines of this full fabric concoction strip thing sort of comes down and helps create the

Train and it’s three different textures three different textiles as well but I think they all work pretty well they don’t really demand too much attention except I would say for the crystals on the bodice I just think it fits her beautifully I think that the silhouette

Is lovely on her I like the neckline and if it is a nod to the Miss SNM collection I love that even more and it also fits in with Donna referencing a lot of her late Brother’s work I think it’s quite nice on cardi I’m happy to

See it next up we have Chloe Bailey wearing Robert one I love this I like this Gold version of Robert’s very formfitting dresses with these beautiful Rond pleat experiences running down the side they’re asymmetrical so they sort of do create an interesting sort of angulation around the thigh area down to

The Hem of the dress and then there’s this beautiful little train that sort of follows her again in these beautiful gold frond I love Robert one I think he’s a great designer I love the fact that he actually looks at nature and sort of incorporates those elements into

Design it’s something that some of the greatest architects Engineers artists people do and I think Robert is one of those amazing Engineers of sorts he’s just an engineer of clothing I think the gold looks fantastic I think it fits her well highlights the the bust area beautifully the waist the BS the thigh

It just it really hugs her and doesn’t wrinkle it doesn’t crinkle it doesn’t pucker and then on top of it you just have the excitement of the little fronds at the bottom I love stunning next up we have Chloe 7e she is wearing some Rosa I

Love a kloe 7e because I think she genuinely is like let me just be Chic and she gets it I think this gorgeous satin red bow top Romper thing is intriguing it very much so fits the oversized aesthetic of Simone Rosa and at the same time the bow is something

Simone Rosa has also been playing with for I’m going to say I talked about it in a recent video when I discussed her Jean Paul goate collection it’s something she’s been doing upwards of what 8 n years now and so I like seeing this oversized version I think it’s

Beautiful I like the way that it frames the body and again it’s asymmetrical which I think is really interesting I love the sort of like baby doll like flounce that sort of covers the shorts I think it fits in again with oversized non always formfitting silhouette that

Simone plays on and at the same time I think compared to a lot of other people there’s just this emphasis on Silhouette that’s different than the norm and also what I think is cool with Chloe is she understands her proportions so instead of wearing a thigh high boot or a

Stocking or something she just lets her legs be bare and a red satin shoe is the perfect accessory for it is an understanding of proportion Chloe 7y gets it that’s why she is the it girl of the it girls next we chrisy Tegan wearing Oscar de lenta I love this as

Well I think it’s beautiful I like the halter I like this idea of these sort of embroideries that are sheer I love the concept that Fernando Garcia and Laura cam have been playing on it Oscar for quite a few seasons now it’s this whole idea of these sheer dresses that are made up

Exclusively of the embroidery or embellishment that they do that usually is in the form of flowers that make up the dress and they’ve done a really really good job always of finding the sheer sort of match to the skin tone so again it really does give an illusion

And I think when you’re going to do something like that the emphasis is on actually having an illusion I would say maybe around where the slit kind of begins and we start to see it become a little bit of a high low in like the front of the thigh area maybe we could

Have cut that out but at the same time I’m wondering if it would like damage the the structural Integrity of the dress I’m not really sure but I like the fact also we get this full Fringe element of the embroidery that swing down and creates this interesting

Different idea it still keeps this sort of foliage and Vine stem Leaf situation running throughout I haven’t seen chrisy Tegan look this Chic in a long time time so I’m going to take it and be happy next up we have Danielle Brooks who is wearing Yousef aljos listen it’s your

Pretty standard glittery form fitting dress I do think it looks nice on her I think it fits really really well I think the embellishment and all that it’s kind of blah maybe a little bit more Motif could run throughout it I do like the fact that it curves out at the bust and

Then nips in at the waist and then flows back out I think it’s smart you can see all of that I just think as far as the Vanity Fair after party goes I don’t think it’s bad I don’t think it’s poorly made or anything it’s just not really

Super memorable at all and she looks really pretty I do like that of course but again you know we’re looking especially here for a little bit more excitement next up we have Dar Allan I believe this is the first time we’re ever talking about D on the YouTube

Channel Dar is a model and she’s also a stylist she is Hunter Schaefer stylist Dar also did just walk the most recent Mumu show and here she is wearing bota Vena I just like imagine being that sheep couldn’t be me could not be me I love this asymmetrical neckline I love

The motifs that we’ve been seeing from mat that are these sort of swimming moving color blending sort of minty green and yellow and black you wouldn’t maybe always say that those things all could work together and yet here we are they’re working together I want to see

More of like this BGA on the red carpet as well I like these gowns I also think it shows that Matthew bie does have a lot to give when it comes to red carpets and things like that love love love and I thought this was a moment that could

Not discuss next up we have Diane Krueger wearing Gangi I hate it I hate it so much it’s a fringe dress and unfortunately we’re having the issue where lining of it is meant to sort of be a beige that matches up with the skin tone just it does not in fact do that

Unfortunately for everybody involved including us at home looking at it and then The Fringe kind of moves down and like The Fringe isn’t it’s not bad I don’t really understand the big thick clumps I just don’t think they look really great compared to the little thin

Clumps it just it throws me off a little bit those look like hexagons cuz hexagon is sex little hexagon but like stretched out hexagons I feel like they’re not fully all covered in the Crystal and I think that’s also throwing me off a little bit maybe it’s a design choice

But I I don’t like it because I think it shows even more of the lining that is not matching the body the black band around the bust area and onto the sleeve I don’t really get why it’s happening at all because it just cuts her off in a

Weird way and I don’t really get it maybe it is the xoshi reference and yada yada yada but I’m sure that Uber deoni did not do it like that where I would say oh why would you make that yeah ugly ugly ugly ugly absolutely ugly next up we have Emma Chamberlain wearing Tom

Brown honestly it’s probably the most tamed Tom Brown look I’ve ever seen which is crazy because I’m looking at a whole lot of cleavage but it’s also probably one of the most most risque Tom Brown looks I’ve ever seen cuz normally Tom Brown wearers don’t really show that

Much skin I like it here’s the thing Tom again always playing on this idea of shirting suiting tailoring and so in a gown form you have this white button down which I do think that it definitely is puckering a lot and I don’t really love that but it’s also what the fabric

Tends to do and normally underneath a suit jacket or a vest or waste coat things like that you can’t always see all of it and if it is cotton sort of poplin it’s going to wrinkle that’s just kind of what it does but still I

Definitely am not a fan of it but I like the idea of the shirt being there and being the sort of top of this bodice we can see that wrapped around the waist is obviously a very well done corset that is referencing a cumber bun which is the

Sort of little band of silk that you put around your waist when you wear tuxedo and then a floor length black silk skirt that has a subtle mermaid sort of flare to it it’s meant to take on and reference and play on this notion of suiting and shirting and things like

That I like the bag very Tom I think it’s a cool concept maybe the shirt is the only part that I’m really not obsessed with everything else I do quite like especially the CER bun corset waist centure I think it’s very chic I like that Emma went for it it’s different for

Tom to me as well in general so A for effort I’m going to say like a B minus for execution next up we have Gabrielle yion she is wearing zuir marad we have Dwayne Ray there as well love Dwayne but we’re only going to talk about Gabrielle I love it beautiful gorgeous stunning

Somebody was saying recently that like I don’t appreciate the Lebanese designers I do zir Morad is meant to make beautiful clothes that’s the brand there obviously like house codes there embellishments and silver and flashy and Poppy and all that sort of stuff and so in that context I think it’s a really

Beautiful look I think that the way that it sort of slivers down from the neck is Gorge I like little drape of the silver sort of chain pieces and that it continues on in the skirt I might not love and by might not I mean I don’t really love the sort of embellished

Waist belt thing that runs down the front not my favorite at all but I do like the dress in theory I just maybe don’t love that one little part but besides that I do think she looks rather lovely next up we have Glenn Powell who’s wearing Tom Ford he’s doing his

Tom Ford cosplay the glasses are so incredibly Tom Ford it actually kind of scares me maybe Glen Powell is like I would like to do the Tom Ford film Maybe is doing a Tom Ford film maybe Tom Ford is doing a biopic and Glenn Powell wants

To be Tom and to be completely honest if he was to like shave his head I think I could see it at least with the glasses on as for the actual suit I think it’s okay I don’t really love it I don’t really hate it I don’t think it’s good I

Think it’s just your more or less normal sort of tuxedo like suit Black Velvet jacket silky lapels is fine next up is haly Steinfeld now you’re probably all going to be like Luke I can’t wait for you to just trash this I kind of don’t

Hate it lady Lady of the 80s in the sense of like a Roth child Lady of the 80s it’s very 80s and that’s because it’s by Alexandre vti who is a very 80s loving designer big strong shoulders lots of ruffle things like that makes sense I like the big peplum I don’t know

People are very like anti- pum I don’t necessarily hate the peplum if it’s done well and I think that this teered little layer of peplum really works I think especially with the jacket that sort of helps to sort of Expose and exaggerate the shoulder just a little bit it

Doesn’t make it feel like you were only staring at the pum there’s a little bit of balancing out in the shoulders in the words of the great Jade jol Le I wish that those hips match those shoulders and I only bring that quote up really to say that with certain things like this

Where you’re going to emphasize certain parts of the body you should have other proportional parts that are going to also sort of balance that out otherwise we’d only be staring at the pum and we’d all be saying why why why but I think that the jacket to me is kind of the

Perfect thing I don’t love the belt around the waist I feel like obviously we’re trying to cinch and all that sort of stuff and with the fabric obviously the fact that that fabric really is going to suck everything in and it’s really going to be quite tight it does

Help to sort of again emphasize the pum and also emphasize the shoulders but don’t love the belt didn’t need the belt but besides that I actually kind of like it I think it’s kind of cool and Haley Steinfeld to me is kind of two for two

In this regard next up we have har nef who is wearing Balenciaga it’s a strapless cat suit which is built in with a panta shoe which is DNA’s sort of signature at Balenciaga shoe it’s obviously a marel reference All That Jazz and then a big feather boa where it

Looks to be like it’s feathers but it’s really really not I think it’s made out of different pieces of fabric that have been cut to look like feathers which plays into this whole sort of trump thing that demna does I don’t hate it I’m not like jazzed by it but I think

It’s also just because I’m used to seeing things like this from Balenciaga on the runway it’s fine but memorable no next up we have ice spice who is wearing Dolen gabana and there was a lot of controversy about this because ice spice is wearing obviously like a fully sheer dress but the thing

That I thought was really crazy about and people were like oh she’s wearing the same thing and then ice spice responded to it like this is very Dolce I think it’s very on brand for Dolce I mean if we look at the fall 2023 collection which is crazy cuz like I’m

Looking at Dolce like there’s literally sheer and Lace in pieces and they sent the models down the runway in sheer lingerie style pieces which is literally like house code brand DNA something that Dolce has been doing since like what the early 90s so I’m kind of confused on why

People are like La about it or like annoying or like whatever they’re saying about it and on top of that somebody was like she’s just worn the same thing over and over again or whatever but like literally at the Billboard Music Awards ice spice wore verer Hof it was like a

Cute little cocktail dress the beautiful corset a little tutu fu fu skirt so that was not sheer so like again not really true I I do know a lot of ice spices pieces are usually kind of sheer esque and show off the body but like that’s

Also part of the brand from the bus line up it’s this sort of floral lace detail which again linger house codes Dolce makes total sense and then we move down there is a little bit of a fishnet on the side which again sort of playing on this idea of lingerie and pieces that

People wear to sort of be a little bit more sexy in the boir and then as we get to around the thigh it gets a little bit trumpety and sort of creates a gathering and there are panels of black lace as well I think it’s fine I don’t hate it I

Don’t love it it’s to me the usual sort of ice spicyness I just didn’t really get the controversy about it like it might not be the most exciting look I don’t think it is at all but at the same time like because people were like so annoyed

About it in the sense of like it was I don’t know egregious for whatever reason they thought I was kind of like no so now I I I just I don’t really see the upsetment about it it was fine it was okay it was whatever it was not super

Duper memorable but again ice spice has been varying it up so I’m like she’s not only just wearing the same thing see now I have to defend people because people are saying silly things that don’t make sense that annoys me next up we have Iris Law who is wearing Tom Ford this I

Believe is a fully crystalized two-piece it’s not a dress I don’t believe it’s a dress it’s made up of these full Crystal pieces in like a pale blue or a silver from afar they look kind of bluish to me like a pale pale blue but they might

Also just be silver I’m not really sure now this drop stitch thing is something that Peter Hawkins who is the new creative director at Tom Ford has been doing for at least his first two seasons are pretty positive and if it’s not most recent season it’s from the season

Before his debut show it’s very Tom Ford like again it really does fit into the whole vibe of the Tom forward aesthetic and on top of that I do think that it’s done very very well I think that the crystals really work I think the drop stitch really looks lovely the length of

It is interesting and very sort of 90s the fact that it’s also like fully sheer underneath I really appreciate because I think that that is Iris Law playing into the brand and sort of being this like sexy seductress which is Tom Ford out and out I think it looks nice I think

She’s doing what she needs to do for Tom Ford it’s a brand that is about quality but Peter Hawkins has really been trying to reintroduce what are the Tom Ford Classics but at the same time he’s doing them in I think really beautiful qualities they look great they look well

Fitted always so I’m not obsessed but at the same time I do like it I do think it works and I’m interested to see though if Tom Ford will pick up steam red carpet wise going forward next up we have Jessica Alba who is wearing tomorrow Ralph and everybody wanted me

To talk about this and I get why to be completely honest I like this tomorrow Ralph little silver chain mail glitter look it’s a formfitting chain mail dress in a beautiful silver and then the the neckline has these really beautiful 3D flowers that pipe along it it’s a little

Bit of a plunge which I also think is rather sweet and gives a little bit of depth in my opinion and then there’s a little sashy off the shoulder sleeve which I really like again sort of plays into this whole idea of the draping I

Think it gives a lot more of a flow effect to the chain mail as opposed to the dress I do like the little flowers on the side of the hip she looks lovely in it it’s great I feel like it’s a fun material it still adds a little bit of

Floral n to chain mail which is also not something that you normally put together the hard the soft the floral and the metallic it doesn’t always work super duper well in combination and here I think it looks lovely next up we have jod Turner Smith who’s wearing Gucci now

This is a pretty simple Gucci dress but again if we think and look and talk about Sabo Doo it is going to in my opinion go back to this era of Gucci and the 50s and the 60s and the 70s and the 80s where pre-t Ford pre Freda gianini

Pre alesandro very Don Melo era and I don’t think if you watch huchi they really get into Don Melo at all they kind of just like go straight into Tom Ford but there was a woman named D Melo who I believe had worked at Bergdorf and became sort of the head designer for

Gucci at that point and really the whole brand was about being simple good quality elegant luxurious leather goods and it’s started I believe firstly as a luggage company travel luggage company which a lot of those Italian Brands did prod as the same thing and so bringing

It back I do think that a really simple but well-made black deep plunge velvet gown with a high slit on jod Turner Smith is good I get where it’s going is it ravishing absolutely is it lovely on her Shore am I excited by it no in the

Grand scheme of things no even with what we were just saying about Tom Ford this is what this brand is going to be and this is what Sabo is going to explore like a Maria gracio curri or a VIN VR in the beginning I understand fighting

Against that but at the same time this is also what the brand stood for originally pre allesandro pre-t all of those things and so can’t be necessarily mad because he is tapping into the DNA of the brand and adding his own little sort of sexy flares and factors that pay

Homage to the designers that came before him hence the High slit and the Deep plunge yeah I think it’s okay I think it’s nice I think it works am I gooped and gagged only because it’s jod Turner Smith the dress itself is nice but not super memorable it’s okay it’s fine it

Makes sense next up we have Joey King who is wearing Balenciaga and she is wearing this dress straight off of the Fall 2024 Runway now this dress I do actually find very very interesting I talked about it in my Balenciaga review it plays into this idea of draping which

When we think about valenciaga we think of really sort of geometric shapes and elements that there were a lot of beautiful sort of silky satin drapes that were done by Balenciaga and they did not always necessarily work in the same drapey manner of a madame gray or a

VNA and designers of that way there were a lot of times where he made draped pieces that traditionally would not necessarily be beloved or aren’t this sort of standard form of beautiful draping and so I think that’s what demna was trying to do here on top of it this

Silk maybe just because it’s in photo you can’t really see it and I don’t I think you can kind of but I think only once I say it this dress is actually very stiff and that’s because what they did is they draped the dress and then they treated this sort of flowy draped

Dress which is what it’s supposed to be with some sort of concoction that hardened it I believe it was through like Crystal or mineral or some sort of treatment that then as it walked on the runway it was really stiff and almost like uncomfortable looking to look at

Because I think we all see a drape dress we say oh I want to see it flow and be beautiful and move and be languid and liquidy and that’s not what that is and I do think that that is something that is interesting about dem’s work is this

Idea of dichotomy do I think it’s like radical no maral did it first but I do think it’s an interesting little concept and I appreciate that Joey King is going for it you don’t have to like it you don’t but it is this idea of craft it is

This idea that Balenciaga did sort of start where you are putting work time effort into the material because that’s how bindo started all of his own designs is everything was about textile he developed his own textiles he also made sure that when he was working with certain Fabrics the way that he made

Clothing was based on what the textile could or could not do demna is I think furthering that notion in continuing to try to innovate by treating the Fabrics with more modern treatments that essentially will transform what the fabric can do it is Balenciaga esque even if you don’t like it I’m not saying

You have to like it you don’t I’m just giving you the full 411 about it next up we have Julia Fox who’s wearing Lou de Javier I actually think that this kind of works normally I’m not always a huge fan of the Julia Fox experience cuz the

One thing I’m going to say is it’s always an experience 100% sometimes they’re a little too performance Arty for me but I do appreciate the work the effort the timing and the thought that goes into everything that she does cuz she does put a lot of time effort and

Thought into it as for this dress though I think that it’s the perfect mixture of Julia fa of on guard and downtown Art Gallery New York kind of thing with well-fitted beautiful dress I like this latexy patent leather dress I believe this is patent leather I don’t think

It’s latex it’s strapless it fits her really really well the little train sort of moves and is long and as liquidy and I think it it works I like the matching gloves I think it’s cool and then the headpiece I love a headpiece I like this headpiece I like the fact that it’s

Tulie and it flares out and it creates this big sort of moment but she also really really smart smartly did her hair completely different color so it does contrast really really well too I I just think this is like a good Julia Fox glamour but as her upcoming show is

Going to be it’s OMG fashion you know what I mean she gets it next up we have Carrie Washington wearing John Batista volley as we can see a sort of fu fu neckline it’s almost like a cocktail dress because you have the sheer sort of paneling a little bow at the waist and

Then it cuts off right before or right around the mid thigh area and then turns into the sheer skirt with little tears I think it’s okay again I don’t hate it Carri Washington to me can be a little bit Hit or Miss sometimes and I think

This is a hit I think it works really well I think it fits really well it feels John Batista vales as well and yet doesn’t read immediately John batist stali big gown that I’ve already seen which I think is actually really rather nice I think the crystals in the midsection they definitely draw

Attention but they also break up it just being again a Big Tool or chiffon dress I think it’s a nice style it’s a nice way of doing a gown without it feeling like we’ve seen it before I’m not like dazzled by it it’s just nice next up we

Have Chris Jenner she’s wearing Oscar de lorenta it’s this fully beige dress covered in all different kinds of appliques embellishments at the sleeves you can see these big sort of fringes that also around the Midway of the waist on the skirt it continues that whole

Notion and idea I don’t love it I just think the skin tone esque material that beige it just doesn’t work for me because again Chris’s skin tone is different shade and so it feels too light it feels awkward I understand wanting to do the sort of embellishment

And a sheer effect and all that sort of stuff but like again it has to feel sheer it has to be Chrissy Tegan esque in order for it to really land I think Chris would have been better off in an array of other Oscar Styles than this it

Does fit her really well that I have to say and I do like the little bit of the Bell sleeve overall the color of the dress is really just turning me off next up we have Kylie Mano who’s wearing Gucci I believe that this is a custom

Look and it’s a mixture of green and blue don’t love it now listen the color choice I would not choose ever I think that the green which is to me sort of becoming like a sabot Gucci green it’s a little sickly looking and then I think

With the blue it doesn’t work I also think that just the placement of the green at the bust is strange I understand that it’s trying to highlight that area but I don’t think that it Blends well with the rest of the dress and maybe we could be saying we’re doing

A reference to like the Gucci red and green stripe or the other red and blue stripe which are both sort of iconic Gucci Staples but I’m not bullshitting myself here even if that is what it is not good I don’t like it I do think the embellishments on the dress are fine

They’re nice they relate back to what zabo’s been doing but in general doesn’t work placement strange no cohesion between the two none of that anymore thank you next up we have Lenny Kravitz doing it really simple in sellon it’s a beautiful double breasted black suit he has a nice little Bell blouse on

In a gorgeous little silk B blouses something that Coco Chanel did and then Eon in the 70s brought it back he made it cheap and then it’s been adapted by Anthony vello at salon for quite some time as well I think the pants fit beautifully I like the cut of

Them I like the length of the jacket I like the B blouse in white it sort of plays on this idea of traditional shirting and also does the bow tie element without actually having to do a bow tie Lenny looks really good very happy next up we have lizo and she is

Wearing Robert one it’s this partially draped opaque bodice in brown and burgundy it’s a strapless neckline and it has a matching sort of silk stole I do really really like it until we get to around where it becomes sheer now here’s the thing I was looking at this

Originally and I just think my initial first thought was oh the fabric is obviously like creased and so that is showing and creating lines on the thighs I don’t want to at all you know body shame anybody when it comes to hot mode that it’s never intentional and I never

Want to do that again so I try to make sure I make mental notes and especially with plus-sized people that I’m reviewing I always try to make sure that I take into account the fact that I have to take myself out of the standard mindset of what I look at constantly

Which is models un runways or celebrities that are hourglass figures and thinner I try to keep all those things in account so when I was looking at the look I was like maybe this is the fabric pulling or it might just be what lizzo’s body looks like so I don’t want

To be like o that’s bad if it’s Liz’s body because like I don’t want to be mean about people’s bodies and it also just say me having to change my mindset about certain things but I then found the runway look and I will say on the

Model that wears it if we zoom in really really close to where the sheer panel begins there is like one or two little lines that run straight through the thigh area diagonally and so I’m trying to figure out if it’s just the fabric sort of expanding as the model is walking and

That’s why it’s doing it and I’m wondering if that’s what’s going on with lizzo’s dress as well I don’t know I will say I think that the length of the dress both on lizo and on the model I understand that it’s meant to be really

Short and all of that but I just don’t know that it necessarily works I think it’s a really strange place to stop and then add in a sheer panel had it been just a cocktail dress with the big long stole I think I would have been much much happier I think the shear

Panel will create lines on the body because that’s what the fabric will do as it wrinkles so overall not really sure I just I don’t I do like the opaque elements maybe in my opinion the full drape Gan would have been better or just a cocktail dress with the sort of silk

Stole being the cocktail floor length element in my opinion would have been the better way to go next up we have Louisa Jacobson who’s wearing Louis Vuitton she’s been doing a few LV moments as of recent and here she’s going for the Nicholas scare leather and grommet experience I think it’s okay

Listen she hasn’t really been doing like too too radical in terms of pieces but I do think that she’s definitely like trying to be a little bit more fashion I think the leather does work I do think that it fits her very very well well the

Leather panel I also think just sort of helps to sculpt the body at the waist and I do love a petite Mal bag if you don’t know I love a petite M it means small trunk and it’s a Louis Vuitton bag that Nicholas jier debuted in his first

Collection and it’s essentially meant to be like a mini version of the Louis Vuitton trunks that are the basis of the Brand’s history that’s what she’s carrying on her I like this look I think it’s cute I think it works I’m not super jazzed about it I don’t think it’s crazy

But I’m just interested to see where Louisa Jacobson is going to go next up we have J Rodriguez who is wearing Iris van herpin Stan I like this dress a lot I think it’s fun I think it’s that perfect sort of Iris van herpin futuristic forward mentality it’s also

Like very angular which I don’t think is something that I think of a lot when I think of verus fan herpen’s work I think of more sort of sculptural more curved rather than sort of like a harsher angle like these triangles that are at the neckline and also the triangles that the

Sleeves create or even just the triangles that are the motif on both the opaque and the sheer parts of the dress I think it’s fun I think it’s cool I think it’s futuristic I like the element of the sheer sort of playing into it as

Well it just adds a little bit of drama like she’s sprinkling little triangles on all of the people I can’t tell if it’s the fabric it it does seem to be wrinkling in certain parts which again like unless you’re looking at a photo of the dress where they’re going to retouch

It or whatever it’s like there’s obviously going to be a little bit of a wrinkle and a crinkle here and there but I love that you went for it I love the dress I think it’s fun I think it’s cool I think it’s different and I’m happy to

See it next up we have Morgan Spectre who is wearing helmet Lang now listen he’s wearing from Peter Doe’s first collection for helmet Lang this black boxy silk stripe panel jacket I tried to find that jacket could not find it anywhere except online but like I’m not

Going to buy a Blazer online because then I have to get it refitted and I have to buy multiple to see whether or not the sizes fit so H Lang team also on your website it says that you still have a store in the meat packing District in

New York do not you want to know how I know this because I went and it is closed I then went to sax withth Avenue and then went to Bergdorf nobody had the jacket you know why I maybe seem a little bit salty because Morgan Spectre

Looks really good in the jacket I really like it I think it’s cute I think the little pin on there is fun I think it works I think it plays into what’s going on the pan it doesn’t have seat belt stripe down the side I think it almost

Kind of works I bought the side seat Bel stripe pant to be completely honest it definitely is an intriguing fit but I think that it works here just a normal sort of pant I do think it could have fit a little bit better to be completely

Honest I do like the rolled up cuff I think that’s Chic I like the shirt underneath I think it all works together I think Morgan looks good and also helmet line please help a girl help you help me help you next up we have nudi gotwa who is wearing Cameron Hancock

That’s that bodice shirt and woo young me who is the pant honestly I think it’s fun listen I like the tank top metal shell piece I think it’s cool I genuinely like seeing the other side of the sort of molded bodice corset situation I think it’s cool to see the

Pectoral muscles I feel like it is nice also in like a metallic sort of style and I think the pants are good they’re wide leg they let the top obviously do the talking I think it’s fun I’m into it next up we have Pamela Anderson she is

Wearing Oscar Genta I love a Pamela Anderson I really really do she is a truly Chic woman I also like this dress to me it looks like stain glass which I think is what Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim have been doing recently at Oscar especially their last or most recent

Collection it seems to be inspired by a lot of stained glass and floral art works very Tiffany lamp if you will and I think that Pamela looks good I think the colors are a little different for people they might not love all of these shades of yellow but I do love the

Little imprints of purple in the sequins I do think that that dress probably took a lot of time to create and I do like the shear panels I do think that they add that little bit of sheerness that we keep seeing from this design duo in

Reality I’m into it listen I like a motif do I maybe wish I could see it a little bit more and it wasn’t so not clear because of the fabric sure but at the same time I’m looking at it I’m happy with it I’ll take it next up we

Have Paris Hilton who is wearing Sabina bleno finally finally I’m getting Paris Hilton look that is worthy of an era to me this feels very My Fair Lady it’s just not done in white it’s a sheer fully crystallized little dress I love it I really do I really really do I

Think that this is worthy of Paris I get it I like the double strap I like the one that sits on the shoulder I like the one that falls off the shoulder I like the gloves I love the crystals that run throughout the dress especially love the

Fact that the crystals pipe the Hem it’s beautiful the shoe sort of plays into this Crystal and nude illusion situation I love the big chunky necklace I like the hair I think the hair plays again into Audrey heurn in my fair lady like it’s just the moment it’s gorgeous it’s

Stunning this is the Paris I expect oh next up we have phebe tonin who is wearing Oscar de lorenta now this is a custom look I’m pretty positive it’s this gathered pink empire waist dress with a little off the-shoulder sort of ruffle sleeve situation and it’s in this

Beautiful sort of maroon with a bow in the middle to sort of again create that empire waist effect I like it the colors work really really beautifully together it’s a simple sort of design but I think it works and I know people are like oh belts on the waist but this isn’t really

Like a waist belt I would say I think the placement of it is much more sort of emphasizing this idea of the Empire Waste line which I would love to see a little bit more Oscar to lenta Empire Wast line moments here and there I think

If any brand could do Regency super well and super Chic and super fun it’s kind of Oscar more of that love this on her very cool very easy wonderful working of colors together sold next up we Quinta Brunson who is wearing markk Bower again really like think it’s cute I think it’s

Simple I think it’s easy and I think it’s the first time in like a hot minute with Quinta that I’ve been like the tongue like rolls out like a little red carpet that I think she looks Gorge I like the length I love the fact that

This really really fits her as well I think a lot of the time with Quinta I feel like because of her height the fit doesn’t always land super well this is like one of the first times I’ve ever really been like H cuz it just it fits

Her beautifully I love the slit I love the shear I love the silver the off the shoulder it just all works she looks stunning next up we have Rebecca Hall who’s wearing urum I love this dress is obviously in my opinion like a prod reference cuz urum has been doing a lot

Of wrinkle pieces lately but like everybody references everybody Prada reference you sound wrong you sound the wrong reference Chan now if you’re going to reference somebody reference best I really like the dress though I like the shape of it I like the silhouette I like the fact that it’s Frayed on the bottom

I feel like that was a really fun cool moment in my opinion from urum who’s normally very sort of gown buttoned up and things like that I like when urum has fun I like when he lets himself go a little bit and I thought that that must have been spring 2024 thought that

Collection really was great I also love the fact that you’re seeing that there are multiple layers of this sheer wrinkle Fabric and I’m also like intrigued by the way that they did it I also love the fact that it’s Jagged the way that they cut it at the bottom so

You can see where the piece was folded in on itself it it’s really a cool cool dress the embellishments I think work I’m not like obsessed with them but I don’t hate them I also love that it has pockets I like the curved neckline I love the pieces of white the seam

Exposure there on the bodice too like it’s just a cool dress I know people like it’s so ugly but that’s fine I’m okay with that I like when designers do something a little bit different especially when they’re a brand that’s more about gowns and opulence and beautifulness and all that sort of stuff

So very happy with this love next up we have Rosie hund whitle she’s wearing Valentino I’m going to be honest like I do actually kind of like this I think that pure pilo as of recent this must be from a very recent collection the most recent collection was called Lenoir and

It was all about this idea of using black and for a designer that loves a color is probably one of the color blocking masters of the current fashion generation I thought he did a pretty solid job of keeping me not bored throughout a collection that was entirely about black I love the cutouts

I love the chiffon at the neckline that kind of gives like a faux mock neck thing that then flows into the neckline I like I I think it’s cool dress is it pants with a train cuz if it’s pants with a train I love it even more but

It’s Black Velvet so that it’s really again sucking in the light and I can’t really see giving Auntie because I can’t use the C with the aunt Rosie Huntington Whitley in Valentino she feels to me like my auntie right now because if that is truly a low eyes pant and black

Velvet that makes you think that you’re looking at a gown I will take I will delete the rosie H and wh Le 7day s looks video okay so Rosie I see you I thank you I apologize for anything that I’ve said in past transgressions please

I’m sorry I was wrong I was wrong next up we have Russell Westbrook who’s wearing Tom Brown again we’re looking at this whole idea of shirting and suiting I do like the vest that Russell is wearing it looks to be a coat of sort it’s just a sleeveless coat and so it

Makes it a vest just a very lengthy vest again I think it’s cool I think it’s an interesting concept I even really like the fact that you can see the little pocket square going on I like the white shirt and I like the loose school boy

Tie allaha you tie your tie once and then you just loosen it wrap it off your head and then put it back on every day that was me do you think the pants they’re fine I think the fit is Good Very Tom Brown I also like the boots

Very solid and the beanie I think is a little different it’s very Tom but it’s very rare you see a beanie on a red carpet and I think that Russell is kind of pulling it off keeping it branded but again I think the interesting thing about Tom always is his branding isn’t

Logo monogram Mania it’s very subtle for people that know what they want or what it is they get it overall I think it’s a good interesting but not too too far out there take on traditional Men’s Wear next we have Sabrina Carpenter wearing Tory Birch she is wearing a scoop neck I

Believe leather bodice that seems to be embossed in like a patent leather to resemble some sort of crocodile or lizard skin I’m pretty positive that Tory Birch isn’t making crocodile and lizard exotic pieces definitely don’t think they make handbags of that and I definitely don’t think they make dresses

Of that either so I think that it’s probably embossed to look like that and then a sheer skirt with pieces and portions of it that are crystaled in Black that ombre into this age of sorts I do think the crystal is really interesting I have to say I like the

Ombre of it I think they’ve done a really really good job of doing it cuz it looks very natural it doesn’t feel like oh stop beige go no no no it it really does work quite well to be like too annoying and specific I’m not like

Super obsessed with it and I wish maybe the bodice correlated to the crystal or was crystal cuz I think that would have kept the whole concept running and then would have been able to look at the Ombre and be a little bit more uh I do

Really like the Ombre the bodice I don’t really understand where that plays into everything but I’m happy with the technique going on on the skirt next up we have Sandra o wearing Naim Khan okay listen it is I believe a chain mail dress or if it’s not chain mail it’s

Crystal I I think it actually might actually be Crystal it has a deep plunge up top in the neck line overall the dress not for me but I like the Crystal and the way that it sort of stretches itself almost and is a graph like Motif

I think it’s really different at first I was like oh yeah it’s a fringe but it’s not a fringe and I think that is cool and I really respect that actually as we get to the knee we start to go into these gold Petes and I think my big

Issue with the gold pettes besides the fact that they like get bigger over time and don’t really love big gold pettes personally is I wish that the crystals were gold and maybe they are gold but they don’t really show as gold in terms of when they’re compared to the actual

Gold Petes and I think that to me is also a little bit of an issue I wish that the dress had just really allowed that sort of graph Crystal Motif to be the focal point and I think that the gold Petes really pull the look down because you’re now looking at the leg

And saying O what is that whereas the design itself of the crystal is actually really miraculous it’s really cool it’s really different it’s not something I think I’ve ever seen before and it would have been a nice way to do a beautiful dress that has an interesting take but

That’s all the dress needs doesn’t need the bells and the whistles at the bottom so I would love to love it but unfortunately I don’t love it next up we have Serena Williams who is wearing off-white this is straight off of the runway from the fall 2024 collection The

Collection was all about this idea of like cross hybridization of different cultures and countries and Aesthetics I do love the Fringe that pipes the glove and also right underneath the neckline I think it’s very chic and I know that e was looking at African-American culture and and clothing and I would say

Traditional costume from different parts of and different countries and different tribes within Africa so I feel like maybe there’s some sort of emphasis on that Going On Through The Fringe work I know that e is from sier Leon but the thing is I can’t really place exactly

What maybe the reference is and I think that’s also probably in partially to do with this idea of cross pollenization but I do like the fren I thought it was really beautiful and I liked seeing it also with a sort of body con dress and black I thought it was the strongest

Look from that collection and it seems like the big sort of tubing piece that is actually where the strapless dress begins at the neckline is something that e is sort of carried over from the last collection by offwhite the Fall 2023 collection I think my biggest issue with

The dress is the fact that it looked almost like it was puckering throughout the waist and the front and I was like I don’t know why it’s doing that cuz it’s supposed to be really really clingy but the thing is I actually was looking at the runway images it is fully rouched in

The back so there’s like a big line of rouching that runs down the back and so it’s meant to sort of pull like that not necessarily what I would choose myself but I guess in the context of that then it technically works I like that seren

Went for it I do think that it’s a cool concept it’s a cool design I just not super chazzed overall about it next up we have Sophia ver wearing Oscar de lorenta it’s a formfitting black dress it’s not really really super duper crazy but also in terms of Sophia verar like

She usually just does very sort of sexy very sort of easy to understand Glamour and so like in the context of her I get it I do think the bows they had something the fit of it is good I think I think it’s just the pose is why it’s

It’s puckering in certain ways but again in a grand scheme of things okay thank you moving on next we have Tracy Ross I don’t want to be mean to Tracy I like this idea of this sort of bodysuit tromploy on Tracy in this Bellman white

Gown now I know people going to be like well you didn’t I didn’t cuz I just genuinely thought that dress would have been much better suited here at this event but as I said with Emily Blunt it fit really well it fit very well this dress does not fit well why is it

Pulling in so many directions like that especially at the waist cuz it completely kills the illusion of the body con I mean like not completely but like it definitely throws me off I really like the concept I think it is fun I think it’s cool I think it’s very

Kchy and campy and like I like that I also think that like the little bold shoulders are nice I think they’re intriguing even think the length of it is really good the way that it just hits the floor is wonderful it’s just the fit issue is the issue for me and I can’t

Really get over it because the fabric is really unforgiving and you can’t not see that so yikes next up we have Vanessa hudgin wearing Alberta FR and listen she’s pregnant I like the dress I think it’s really beautiful I thought it was a beautiful little dress just to begin

With is it like the most intriguing dress ever no but I think in terms of bringing your baby bump on the carpet as I always say you only have that accessory for about N9 months so use it while you can I love this off-the-shoulder sleeve Cape Shaw thing

That’s built into the dress I love the use of the shear I think she looks really sweet I think she looks really pretty I think she looks really sexy I love I’m happy for her both in terms of having a bab and also fashion wise next

Up we have Victoria Monae who is wearing Harris Reed now this is from the most recent Harris Reed collection which I’m going to say starting off my big issue with the dress is fit and that’s often times whenever I’m not jazzed about a Harris read look it’s usually the fit

That always is throwing me off what we see not the sheer organza panel and Corset that I really love that I think is very very cool happy to see Victoria Monae go for that and I think the fit of it is really smart and also I like the

Fact that even though this piece really sort of comes up high which I think a lot of people would be scared of a neckline like that because they’d say oh it’s going to take away from my face and all that sort of stuff Victoria mon said

I’m going to go for it and she went for it and it works it really really does very happy to see it the silk of this skirt with gold foliage Motif running throughout there’s obviously like some crinkling and some wrinkling going on especially sort of right at the hip bone

And across the pelvis I will say this fabric is actually made out of wallpaper Harris worked with this brand called fermental who does a lot of these really beautiful wallpaper Styles I appreciate working with an unconventional material I think there obviously are going to be fit issues when it comes to the medium

Which is sort of wallpaper paper because it’s a different medium I do love the motif of it overall the fact that it is an unconventional material I do appreciate the fact that it fits pretty well there’s a little issue obviously at the pelvis where it’s wrinkling and that

Just might be because that’s what the medium does and there’s no way to sort of get around that I appreciate the Victoria went for it I think that overall it works and I I like the fact that there’s a lot of interesting textile going on there and the neckline

Part so I’m going to give it a pass for the risk and lastly we have Zoe de Shanel who is wearing Pat this is a custom look by Gom onri I love well listen I love the reference patto has put out the fact that this look is

Actually based on a look from 1967 it’s probably made out of a black velvet and a black satin and it is these Chevrons so they go starting at the neckline sort of come down and then it panels itself the original design in 1967 by Michelle

GMA who was a designer at Patu did not have these sort of Crystal little zigzag motifs and so I think it was a good way for guom andri to make the piece a little bit more him a little bit more Gom at Pat 2 while still keeping a

Little bit of Heritage and House history and things like that I do think that the neckline works and the train in it is good I almost kind of miss the seams in the middle compared to the original dresses I think that they add a little bit more but overall I think that again

Petu is a brand that has a real uphill climb when it comes to reinserting itself within the world of fashion just because there’s so many people that don’t really know about it and I like that GOM is not only doing references but he’s not afraid of also referencing

Old pieces cuz in reality I think that it helps people to see a little bit more about the gets people a little bit more interested in the brand they might not know about also it’s not like a 1920s like flapper dress patto either I like

It I think it’s fun I think it’s cool I think it’s different I’m happy to see Patu I like this Patu Zoe de Chanel moment that’s happening and I want to see more so that is the end of this video let’s talk about best and worst no

More fashion for a minute I need a break best I’m going to put cardi B in the verace I thought that was really really good Alexander dorio I really love oh Rosie Huntington whle obsessed Lenny Kravitz s Wrong good moment solid moment very happy to see it I’m gonna say

Chrissy tiken yeah I was into that as well oh Paris Hilton I thought was really good too oh and Quint Brunson yeah I think that’s a solid moment oh I’m going to put Camila Mendes and the tomorrow Ralph also in my vest as for Worse Tracy LS Ross I was upset about

That anybody else was like disaster I really love oh Chris Jenner no I was unfor Diane Krueger did not love oh Kylie Mino and Gucci did not love either I think that’s good so I hope you guys enjoyed I will see you guys on the next video and TT y out

    1. Ty for explaining the ice spice look like thank god someone with major fashion influence is shutting that down. There shouldn’t be any controversy

    2. For Lizzo's dress, maybe I can articulate it better. I have cellulite, it is what it is. My niece had cellulite when she was 17 and an active cheerleader under 100lbs. It is NOT something we want accentuated though. No designer should create a dress that has the potential to create the appearance of ripples where there isn't any OR where there is some cellulite already. In my opinion it is unforgivable and thoughtless.

    3. A few reflections:
      1. Roast is it not 😅
      2. If you judge someone else’s fashion just dress for it, otherwise it feels like Anne Hathaway at the beginning of “Devil Wears Prada” dares to judge Miranda Priestly’s fashion 😂

    4. The best thing about the Camilla Mendes dress is that they changed the color of the roses to go with her skin tone. That is a beautiful detail.

    5. Lizzo: skirt should be 3-4" longer to complete the hip-thigh curve, and lose the sheer veil, just legs, but in semi-shear same marroon stocking.
Kylie Minogue: they chose the wrong shade of blue. That chartreuse or apple green would have gone with a pale blue that was more saturated (like a sky blue or candy blue), less gray.
