❌ KAREN Bass is NOT the mayor of any of these cities where the fires started. Maybe people don’t know but there is a Los Angeles COUNTY and a Los Angelos CITY. Los Angelos county is a large county with 88 cities. The city of Los Angeles is only 1(ONE) city within the county of Los Angeles ( it just so happens to share the same name). Karen Bass is the mayor of the CITY of Los Angelos. However Malibu, Eaton, Altidina ect are NOT in the city of LA and are NOT governed by Karen Bass. According to the county website The county of Los Angeles’ board of supervisors is the governing body of the ( cities in the county of Los Angeles) which includes Malibu etc. NOT Karen Bass!!! It said that’s the city of Malibu ( palisades ) is a “general Law city” and operates under an elected council manager form of government ( 5 WYT men) for 4 yrs with a mayor that rotates annually. Stop blaming the mayor of LA for global natural issues especially in areas that she does not govern!!! So any missing or inoperable fire hydrants in those areas fall on the county leaders or other mayors not Karen Bass.

☔️ WEATHER: The “incident meteorologist” stated that there has not been any rain in that area since APRIL of 2024 (9 months without rain). Drought, brittle vegetation, combined to climate warming is a bad combination. I also just saw that hydrants there have to pump water up hill and then have enough pressure to be utilized by the fire trucks. When you live in the mountains ( that far above sea level) you must know that it’s not guaranteed water can be pumped UPward. So many factors. California has earthquake and fires. Florida has hurricanes, fires, flooding, and sinkholes. Mid-west states have unpredictable Tornados. Northern states have snow storms. Everywhere has its pros and cons.
