I wonder what Ricki did to fireproof her home. Imho, taking responsibity for doing that is part of home ownership. If you can't afford to take basic steps to protect it (fireproof roof and vents, trimming back trees and other foliage), you shouldn't buy it.
This is ridiculous, he wasn't specific, the reading was super vague. If he had known, then everyone would have been able to save all the valuable things before this happened.
