Meghan Markle’s latest venture, i.e. her lifestyle show With Love, Meghan has received mixed reactions from the royal family. According to sources from inTouch Weekly, the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, is said to be quietly relieved by the show’s content.

She is grateful that Markle is putting her energy into something that doesn’t spark controversy around her and the royal family. Her approval of the show might also stem from their shared interests in gardening and baking. The source suggests that she views it as “harmless” and “positive.”

Princess Beatrice and Eugenie who have been close allies of Markle and Prince Harry have also been “supportive,” of the show. But King Charles, Prince William, and Queen Camilla have opted out from watching With Love, Meghan, which shows their apparent indifference towards her endeavors.

With Love, Meghan has been met with a tidal wave of criticism from renowned outlets who are putting the show down. Moreover, the internet is flooded with memes and rants about Meghan Markle, especially after the moment when she corrected Mindy Kaling saying, “It’s so funny too that you keep saying Meghan Markle, you know I’m Sussex now.”

One of the primary criticisms centers on Markle’s perceived lack of authenticity. The host of Naughty But Nice with Rob Shuter podcast pointed out the show’s questionable production choices (via USA Today). It’s marketed as an intimate look at her home life, but then it’s being filmed at a rented property.

With Love, Meghan has received praise but more criticism, and it possibly has to do with the complexities of Markle’s public persona. But whether you love or hate her series, it’s clear that her ability to spark debate remains unmatched. Now that a second season has been greenlit, we’ll be curious to know if the royals tune in or not.
