While on a royal trip to South Africa this week, Prince William donned an extra special accessory made by his daughter Princess Charlotte.
The Prince of Wales has been wearing a friendship bracelet made from green, blue and white beads with the word ‘Papa’ on it during his visit to Cape Town.
The friendship bracelet wouldn’t be out of place at a Taylor Swift concert, and William revealed the sweet story behind the bracelet saying it was a gift from his nine-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte.

The father-of-three, 42, said the ‘Papa’ bracelet was made by Charlotte and is a ‘relic’ from their time at the singer’s gig at Wembley Stadium this summer.
William also revealed Charlotte gifted it to her father and he has promised her he will take care not to lose the precious gift while he is away in South Africa.

Speaking to the BBC and Sky News about the friendship bracelet, he explained: ‘Well, this is… a relic, if you like, from a Taylor Swift concert that my daughter decided that she wanted to create a bracelet for.
‘She gave it to me when I came away. So I promised that wear it and try not to lose while I was out here.’ How adorable!

William celebrated his 42nd birthday at Taylor Swift’s Era’s Tour with his two eldest children Prince George and Princess Charlotte in June and was spotted enthusiastically dancing to Shake It Off during the show!
The royals also got to meet the pop superstar during the night, with William sharing a very informal selfie of Taylor backstage with George, and Charlotte, who were clearly big fans.

Meanwhile, on his royal tour as he prepared to host the fourth annual Earthshot Awards, William offered an update on Kate’s health, saying she has been ‘amazing’ during her cancer treatment.
Speaking about his wife, William said: ‘She’s doing really well thanks. And… hopefully she is watching tonight. So cheering me on.
‘She’s been she’s been amazing this whole this whole year. I know she will be really keen to see tonight be a success.’
