I'm guessing she takes no responsibility for the loss of intimacy in her marriage that led to Arnold screwing the housekeeper. Ladies, when you cut your husband off, he's going to find it somewhere, that's what guys do.
So I release you, she says. Sorry to say, but that sounds a little controlling. Yes Arnold was very wrong to have cheated on his wife with the housekeeper, but it seems like Maria was quite the control type, which I'm not saying is a reason to cheat, but this trait could be very hard to deal with.
