    1. Why does she care one way or the other? Seems more like she's using the space mission as a means of getting attention. I say that because until now, I'd never even heard of her.

    2. Nooooo you’re wrong !! It was inspiring!!! And courageous so other girls and women can face there fears . What does Emily do other than show off her body

    3. Let’s not get it twisted: Blue Origin’s so-called “historic” women-only spaceflight was not a triumph of women’s empowerment.

It’s a corporate spectacle. A PR stunt wrapped in faux-feminist packaging, designed to distract the public from a darker reality: one that includes layoffs, erasure, and the slow but steady unraveling of actual progress for women in space.

Last I checked, real empowerment doesn’t come from being paraded around like trophies on a billionaire’s joyride. It comes from investment in infrastructure, research, education, and careers that let women thrive and lead in aerospace: not as passengers in a tourism capsule.

While Jeff Bezos’ space hobby shop takes a victory lap for sending six women on a suborbital hop, NASA—the original institution of human spaceflight—is quietly deleting job listings, and even scrubbing anything related to DEI from its website. That’s not just suspicious. It’s systemic.

Where are the headlines about that? NASA, a taxpayer-funded agency, has been gradually gutting critical support roles, STEM opportunities, and even visibility for women in the agency. In a time when representation and retention of women in science and engineering should be top priority, NASA is downsizing like women’s futures don’t matter.

And yet, the media eats up Blue Origin’s feel-good space brunch like it’s the moon landing. There’s no hard science happening aboard these flights. No missions. No research. Just billionaires and branding exercises. This isn’t a win for women: it’s cosplay for capitalists.

If you want to honor women in space, fund scholarships for Black and Brown girls in STEM. Protect jobs at NASA for female engineers, scientists, and astronauts. Showcase their work and contributions, and don’t delete them from the historical record like they never existed.

Don’t confuse symbolism for substance. A real revolution in space equity would look like this: actual women building and commanding missions, shaping policy, engineering tech, and making history on Earth and beyond. Not six women strapped into a billionaire’s PR rocket for less than 60 minutes.

    4. Some is totally feeling jealous that she was not asked to be part of the event. Pull up your big girl pants and support women. It just a fun space travel tour.

    5. I share the same sentiments. What was the point of sending these non astronauts into space? I'd really like to know a legitimate reason. I'm disgusted by this mockery mission. Blue origin has no business.

    6. People are allowed to have the experiences they want provided it is not harming others. Varied experiences assist in developing a more evolved perspective and in turn a more evolved humanity.
