A TEORRY?
She's correct
Olsen accent is very clear to me. Benedict accent is extremely difficult to me… i am practicing listening skill. …
Its easier to devolve a British to American but very difficult to evolve a American to British.
Always love the fact how English speaking nations always pretend to be so impressed if they can do a different accent, while other countries actually learn how to speak other languages, like English.
Benedict Cumberbatch is correct, though, that Australian actors are better at both, and it's for the reason Elizabeth Olsen gives: content consumption. We still air a tremendous amount of British television here, along with the usual globalised serving of American television and film. My mother, for instance, still watches EASTENDERS and CORONATION STREET pretty regularly, and there's a whole channel on cable called UKTV – while some of the lifestyle channels might as well be branded the same way, with ESCAPE TO THE COUNTRY and A PLACE IN THE SUN and whatnot.
