I’ve loved him since I was 18 years old and uh it’s a big adjustment. Dolly Parton is opening up about her life without husband Carl Dean 2 months after her longtime partner died at 82 years old. The country music icon speaking with today on May 2nd, sharing her grief journey as she learns to live without her husband of nearly six decades. Oh, you know what? Uh I I get very emotional when people bring it up. But yeah, we were together 60 years just trying to change patterns and habits and uh I’ll do fine and I’m I’m very involved in my work and that’s been the best thing that could happen to me, but I’ll I’ll always miss him, of course, and always love him. The 79year-old singer also reflected on the aftermath following Carl’s death, praising the love and support from her fans. There was this little boy on social media. He was about 8 years old, we’re told. And he had this he had the perfect reaction when he saw you in this parade. Got very emotional that day after the parade cuz there was just so much love like that. And it was, you know, right after I had lost Carl and I was just so bottled up with emotion and I just got in the van and just boohooed for the longest time just feeling all that love and emotion.
