‘Floribama Shore’ Star Kirk Medas Dead at 33
Florida Bama Shores Kirk Medis has died. The reality stars former castmate Amy Hall shares the heartbreaking news of his death May 2nd. In a since deleted Facebook post captured by Deadline, Amy writes, “We lost our brother, our best friend, our heart, Kirk. Though my heart is shattered, I find peace in knowing he’s no longer in pain.” She ends the tribute saying, “I already miss his voice, his laughter, his presence. The world feels a little dimmer without him, but I know I’ll see my best friend again someday. Until then, I’ll carry him in my heart always.” Kirk’s family also confirms the 33year-old’s death, telling TMZ that he died due to liver failure after suffering from a quote severe case of necrotising pancreatitis. According to Cedar Sinai Medical Center, necrotising pancreatitis happens when a part of the pancreas or the tissue around it dies from inflammation or injury. Flora Bama Shore premiered on MTV in 2017 with Kirk starring on all four seasons of the Jersey Shore spin-off series. Following the news of his passing, an MTV spokesperson tells People in a statement May 2nd, “We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic passing of Kirk Meadows, a beloved member of the Flora Bamashore family. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and fans during this difficult time.
