When I saw that you were going to be the co-chair on this event, I felt like you were the perfect choice because it’s what you do on your days off. Do you know what I mean? It’s what you do on accident. But I I want to know, we watched you uh entered this carpet with Anna Wintor and with Lewis Hamilton. You watch this incredible choir performance. You I had a cape on first and then you hit us with a razledazzle. What was the inspir? Tell me about your look tonight. Your inspirations, what you’re pulling from. I was pulling from many references actually. You know, I I wanted to I wanted to I always want to reference many things and I wanted to re first I started with ourselves finding ourselves in history across the seas. I was looking at the moors and and and draping and and the way you they fashion themselves with jewelry and and all that like you’re giving that too. All of that stuff and and divining themselves. And then I thought, you know, I wanted to jump across the seas and and I thought, oh, that’s also like a choir robe as well, which is interesting. And it’s honoring the black church. And then underneath, I wanted to jump to the 1940s to a zoot suit. The zoot suit. So, I’m giving you a zoot suit tonight with classic tailoring and looking at how we pull ourselves together and and define ourselves. And so, and also the color blue in particular, there’s a couple reasons. The color blue represents one of the the first freed slaves who said, “I wanted to dance at my freedom day and my finest blue uh super fine wool.” Yes. And also, blue was my mother’s favorite color. And so, I’m representing many. So, I know when I step on that carpet, like my Angela says, I’m not stepping on by myself. I’m bringing 10,000 of you with me. When you shared with Anna Wintor your outfit the on the text chain, were you afraid of what her her response is going to be that you already know was going to be a hit? I didn’t know it was going to be a hit. I was I was nervous because she tasked me with an enormous responsibility and I’m very glad she
