Blake Lively Denies Pressuring Taylor Swift for Support in Justin Baldoni Feud | E! News
Blake Lively is shutting down rumors. After Justin Baldon’s lawyer claimed in a new court filing that Blake threatened Taylor Swift to publicly support her amid the It Ends With Us co-stars ongoing legal battle, Blake’s lawyers address the allegations, telling E!News in a statement on May 14th, “This is categorically false.” Adding they quote, “Deny all of these so-called allegations, which are cowardly sourced to supposed anonymous sources and completely untethered from reality.” In a May 14th court filing obtained by E-News, Justin’s lawyer, Brian Freriedman, accused Blake’s legal team of demanding that Taylor quote release a statement of support for Miss Lively and quote intimating if Miss Swift refused to do so. Private text messages of a personal nature in Miss Lively’s possession would be released. In the document, Freeman says that a rep for Taylor quote addressed these inappropriate and apparently extortionate threats and at least one written communication to Blake’s legal team. Freeman states that he wants these messages as they would prove evidence that Blake is allegedly attempting to quote intimidate and coers a precipitate witness in this litigation. This filing comes days after Taylor was subpoenaed by Justin’s legal team, claiming the pop star was in attendance during a meeting at Blake’s house about the rooftop scene in It Ends With Us. According to alleged text messages in Justin’s lawsuit obtained by E-News, he says to Blake, quote, “Working on the rooftop scene today, I really love what you did. It really does help a lot and I would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor.” However, Taylor’s team reacted to the subpoena, saying she has nothing to do with the case. Telling E! Newews on May 9th, “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie. She was not involved in any casting or creative decisions. She did not score the film. She never saw an edit or made any notes on the film.” The spokesperson noted that Taylor quote did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release since she was quote traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 for her hugely popular The AIS tour. Ending with quote, “This document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case. E-news has reached out to Justin’s legal team regarding Blake’s team’s remarks, but has not yet heard back. [Music]
