Vera Wang is unrecognizable in her incognito 2025 Met Gala outfit. The 75-year-old attended her third consecutive Met Gala in a feathercovered white dress with a plunging neckline. She also debuted a new hairo, swapping her signature long hair for a shoulderlength chop with fringe bangs. And she completed her look with a pair of square framed sunglasses. And while Vera has certainly established herself as a staple in the fashion world, she makes it a point to address the topic of her age. In a March 2023 interview with L magazine, she says, “I’m confronted with a bit of a moment now where so much has been said about my aging. I just hope that it doesn’t supersede my work.” It brings up the issue of aism, and I don’t want to be pigeonholed. We pigeonhold women that are pregnant, small, tall, athletic. Vera adds she was never really obsessed with aging, telling the outlet, “I can’t speak for younger generations, but things that exist now did not exist 50 or 60 years ago. There was no such thing as Botox. I’ve always focused on work. Work was my lifeline that kept me feeling relevant and challenged me over the years. [Music]
