Derek Hough Updates on Hayley Erbert’s Recovery After Brain Surgery | E! News

Well, we recently sat down with dancer extraordinaire Derek Huff, who’s bringing the heat to the dance floor with his new shoe collab with Fuego. He also gave us the inside scoop on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. We’re already starting to get a cast announcement for the next season with Robert. What do we think about this? I’m stoked. I’m stoked. It’s crazy. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years, a decade since Bindy Irwin uh was on the show and we won it together and it was honestly one of the greatest honors of my life was was coaching her. So to see Robert here and be a part of the show 10 years later, mindboggling. Do you know anybody else that’s that’s going to be on the cast? I don’t know some of the cast members that will be on this show. Um but I will say that they uh it’s going to be a phenomenal season. I love coaching. And I love mentoring. Even so much so that my sister and I, we just started a brand new convention competition called Ovation. We’re only doing seven dates the first year starting in December. Is Haley going to be a part of it? Haley? Yeah. I mean, she’s she’s she’s my girl. She’s my muse. It’s been a couple of years since her health incident. We actually are currently right now editing this documentary that we shot. We just have all this amazing footage from the show, from her recovery, from the process, and and just realized that it’s um it was a beautiful story. Are you guys going to have a family? Little huffs. Absolutely, man. Absolutely. We definitely want You want a family for sure. Talk to me about the shoe. How long have you been working on this for? Honestly, for almost a year now, working with this company called Fuego. They’re kind of cool, right? I mean, you could definitely leave rehearsal in those and go out. The reason why I created the shoe is for the longevity of a dancer. I expect we’ll be seeing some of those on Dancing with the Stars this season. Yeah. I’m telling you. Yeah. [Music]
