The beloved entertainer looked absolutely stunning while heading into the Steven Sonheim Theater to participate in composer John Cander’s 98th birthday concert on Monday night, May 19th in New York City. Jennifer was one of the many performers on the lineup for Ring Them Bells, a birthday celebration for John Cander, a one night only benefit concert and seed by Ellen The event was a fundraiser for the Roundabout Theater Company. Cander and his writing partner Fred Eb are the geniuses behind musicals such as Chicago, Cabaret, and Kiss of the Spiderwoman. Jennifer is starring in the film adaptation of Kiss of the Spiderwoman that is hitting theaters later this year. She performed a song from the musical at the concert Roundabout Theater Company present a special one- night event Ring Them Bells, a birthday celebration for John Cander on Monday, May 19th at the Steven Sonheim Theater. Jennifer Lopez performed and looked incredible at the event. Roundabout’s favorite MC, Emmy and Tony Award winner Alan will lead the celebration for beloved songwriter John Caner’s 98th birthday. A roster of roundabout favorites will take the stage for a concert showcasing the life and career of the composer of such shows as Cabaret Chicago and Kiss of the Spiderwoman including Jim Borslman, Josh Breenidge, Victoria Clark, Derek Kobe, Dearius Arope, e Clayton Cornelius, Charlotte Damboyce, Brandon Victor Dixon, Whoopy Goldberg, Jeremy Gums, Roman Carumloo, Jennifer Lopez, John Michael Lyles, Bianca Maro Queen, Aaron James McKenzie, Deborah Monk, Jinx Monsoon, Jesse Mulla, BB Newworth, Kelly O’Hara, David Hyde Pierce, Antoine L. Smith, Anna Uzel, Lilia’s White, Tony Esbeck, Karen Zimba. A longtime friend of Roundabout Theater Company, Alan made his Tony award-winning Broadway debut in Roundabouts 1998 revival of Cander and Ebs Cabaret and returned to play the role to great acclaim in the 2014 revival. The special event features music direction by Sam Davis, set design by David Rockwell, costume design by Jeff Mashi, lighting design by Donald Holder, and sound design by Brian Ronan.
