    1. Sadly life comes to an end period. In short, the 'things of this earth' really don't matter and David is living proof of that. May God give him everlasting life.

    2. And thus, the usual trap of fame and fortune at a young age. After the Partridge Family would have been a good time to just stop, take a break and take a breath. Go out and enjoy the beach for a while and don't go too big with grandiose, not to mention, expensive and costly plans.

    3. I was a very official member of the David Cassidy fan club. I had a cereal box type 45 record that he recorded with such positive sentiments and how much I meant to him as a fan. My mother went to the effort of making a beautiful wooden frame for my “day-by-day with David”calendar, where I would cross off each wonderful, hopeful day that went by, with him in mind, and some sneak peeks into what he may be doing on that day…sigh.
Years later, in my 30’s, maybe 40’s, I was watching a David Cassidy doc on TV. My brother called and asked what I was up to. I told him what I was watching and how sad and surprised I was at David’s tragic life story. He said, “It was girls like you who drove him to the edge”
I felt guilty from that day on.
Now in my 60’s, I still grieve for David and his poor, misguided and vulnerable soul. Likely no one but himself could have turned his world around. He was loved by his family and friends and of course his fans. Love for yourself, comes first. Understand your talent and strengths and never let anyone, including one’s self, to play upon your weaknesses. Rest in peace David knowing you made generations happy to still want to re-live wonderful childhood memories.

    4. Alcohol sucks, it really does. He had so much talent, and he could have had a wonderful life without it. It doesn’t help, it doesn’t make anything better.

    5. Lost my relationship with my father as a teenager because of Alcoholism. Completely absent throughout my adult life. It actually made me a stronger person because of it.

    6. Im 66 and i stopped drinking alcohol in 1996 and i am very happy I did..
I remember a show where they was in the Grand canyon and met some native Americans at a camp fire one native said that the average life span for a native is 35 i think.
I am a native American and i was like 13 then i didn't want to go to college then die..
So i just wanted to have fun before i died..now im 66 that show messed up my life i want to sue them .

    7. Hi in my opinion about David Cassidy relationship with his daughter I think they are picking things out of a interview like he says we never had a relationship well obviously they did not but maybe he tried and it did not work or maybe it did ok define relationship with a ex partner that you have had a child with and pluck out in a interview and label you as a bad father

    8. After reading several books about rock stars most are the same story, drugs, alcohol, parties, women ,wasteful spending and usually an early death. Its just not worth it.

    9. I'm 63, i would love to drink chivas regal everyday, the only thing is, it wont do me any favours, so i stick to a slab of beer a fortnight! My friend drinks spirits everyday, and mostly gets smashed, his problem is, he has no particular intrests and no hobbies he could do at home, so drinking is what he does.

    10. I was in love as a fan with David since I was 10. He was so dang cute! It really breaks my heart to hear this about him. He was human. And like us all had his problems, secrets, etc. I’m glad his children live on. He’d really be proud. RIP. 💕
