Jessica Biel Details “Very Strange” The Notebook Audition

Jessica Beal is opening up about her audition for The Notebook, saying she was covered in blood. The actress appeared on The View for her new show, The Better Sister, but the topic of previous acting gigs came up. That’s when Jessica noted a pattern of acting in roles where she’s been covered in blood. They auditioned for The Notebook, which was going to be the greatest like option for me in my career. Like, what an amazing thing to get after that. and Ryan and the director came to my trailer. They they came to us on location and we auditioned in my trailer at work really and it of course we know this is the answer but um yeah in my mind I just remember having blood on me and being in that white tank top and like took my cowboy hat off and was like okay let’s I’d love to fall in love with you let’s do this. The role ultimately went to Rachel McAdams. And this wasn’t the first time Jessica spoke out on the feeling that the role was the one that got away. In 2011, Jessica told El Magazine, “That’s one that I wanted so badly.” The director, Nick Civadus, put me through the ringer in an interesting, excitingly creative way. But there’s a million that get away. We’re glutton for punishment. It’s just rejection. [Music]
