Bruce Springsteen slams ‘corrupt, incompetent’ Trump administration
Well, easy. There’s some very weird, strange, and dangerous going on out there right now. In America, they are persecuting people for using their right to free speech and voicing their descent. This is happening now in America. The richest men are taking satisfaction and abandoning the world’s poorest children to sickness and [Applause] death. This is happening now. and my country. They’re taking sadistic pleasure in the pain that they inflict on loyal American workers. They’re rolling back historic civil rights legislation that led to a more just and moral society. through abandoning our great allies and siding with dictators against those struggling for their freedom. The mighty street band is here tonight to call upon the righteous power of art, of music, of rock and roll in dangerous times. in my home. The America I love, the America I’ve written about that has been a beacon of hope at liberty for 250 years is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and true. [Applause] Tonight we ask all who believe in democracy and the best of our American experience to rise with us. Raise your voices against authoritarianism and let freedom ring. This is my hope and dreams.
Bruce Springsteen didn’t hold back across the pond, torching the Trump administration as “corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous” during a fiery rant onstage in Manchester. The 75-year-old rock icon kicked off the European leg of his tour by invoking the “righteous power” of music to rally against authoritarianism. “Let freedom ring,” he thundered, before launching into his anthem Land of Hope and Dreams with the mighty E Street Band. The Boss later doubled down on Instagram, promising more blunt truths about the “situation in the United States.”

Bruce wasn't going to go to Vietnam he said he was going to go to Canada. He said he became a musician because he didn't want to be a painter. He wanted to do small venues to 100 people for $100 a piece in 1974. He hated the working class and then wanted to get as far away from them as he could. He was ashamed of being poor and he was ashamed of where he came from. My Uncle Peter Heine director of advertising for Billboard Magazine at 9000 sunset in Los Angeles California told me "Ask your friend (Bruce Springsteen) who he expects to sell records to. Rich people don't buy music it is the working class that buys music." That's when Bruce decided to target marketed the working class. The whole idea is to get the money out of their pocket and into his. Born In the USA used an expanded demographic that targeted people from 16 to 26. The album claimed more shelf space than Born To Run. I know because I'm the guy who wrote the lyrics and Bruce ripped me off. Bruce is uncool.
