Joe Jonas Details “Scary” Dating Experience After Sophie Turner Divorce | E! News

Joe Jonas is opening up about his divorce with Sophie Turner and journey to find love in the aftermath. The pair were together for approximately seven years, dating from 2016 to 2023, with the marriage lasting 4 years. Joe filed for divorce on September 5th, 2023. And on May 23rd, the singer released his new album, Music for the People Who Believe in Love. One of the tracks called Only Love speaks about finding love again after his split. During a talk shop live stream on May 22nd, he says, “And so we worked on a song called Only Love, and I was seeing somebody at the time, and I was like kind of having like this idea of like dating again. Really, it was really scary and like intimidating.” And it’s so nice to hear that though because like do you know what I mean? Like we all feel the same things. Yeah. And it’s, you know, and love takes different shapes and forms. And I was rediscovering what that was. And this person kind of comically, sarcastically was like, “What’s only love?” And I was like, “Well, okay, we put it that way.” So, we wrote a song about it. Like, it was not a big deal, but it was a big deal to me. And a big deal to them, too. But like, it’s okay to take a leap of faith and just try again and put yourself out there. The lyrics to the newly released song read, “She said, boy, it’s only love. Let it in. Baby, hit it like a drug. Breathe it in. Sure, your heart has been broke before. That don’t mean that you close the door. [Music]
