Star’s ’embarrassing’ Natalie Portman encounter

From Egypt to Bangkok to Vienna, this must have been a bit of an action adventure in itself to film for you as actors. What was your most memorable day on set? I think filming at the pyramids. I think filming in the middle of them, being surrounded by them. Uh that’s a once in a-lifetime sort of a thing. I kind of couldn’t believe it and still can’t. Yeah. Yeah. I think same for me. I couldn’t believe that we were doing all those. It’s such sacred ground, you know, and the fact that they were able to sort of lend us and I they said they hadn’t filmed in the the pyramids in so long and it’s like really not allowed to. And so the fact that we were able to and it just makes such a difference when it’s a real, you know, backdrop versus a green screen. And we were so lucky to be able to have real sets. Asa, I’ve heard that Natalie Portman is your acting idol and the reason you got into the business. Can you tell me about your first day working with her? I don’t know if it happens to you when you meet like someone that you like looked up to, but I say such stupid things around her all the time. Yeah, I do feel stupid when she’s around. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because she’s also so smart. She’s incredibly smart, but also, it has to be said, an awful person, so that doesn’t help. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, she is a dream. I mean, Natalie is just everything you ever dreamt and more. And then this cast, I mean, him, John, it was a fun time. We had a really good time. It’s funny you say that because Guy Richie has I mean obviously he’s worked with incredible casts and basically every actor there is. But he has said that you’re one of his favorite casts to have worked with. What do you think’s inspired that review? A that’s so sweet. I think you know I just I do well under pressure. I I don’t crack under pressure. You know as you know he’s he kind of changes things and he works on a whim and and it’s different. You know, it definitely is different for certain actors. And I think that for me, I like being on my toes and I like to navigate things on the day and I learned from him a lot in previous movies. This is my third one with him and so it was it was fun and this one was an easy one in the sense of you have an amazing cast who’s incredibly talented and bringing so much to the table.
