The Most Star Studded Cemetery Pierce Brothers Memorial Park / Marilyn Monroe’s 99th Birthday

Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, dear. Happy birthday to you. Welcome to Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park and Mortterary. Yes, I shaved again and I look like a young German in Venice again. The Pierce Brothers Cemetery is hidden in between highrises. This is Wilshshire Boulevard. And you would never guess that there’s a cemetery. Those are all office buildings, apartments, and this is the cemetery. It’s not a really big cemetery, but there’s a lot of celebrities laid to rest right here in this little park. Some really cool old trees they have here. And I’m standing in the middle of the cemetery, right in between those highrises. And this place is open to the public. I think for the first time, it opened up in 1880. And I’ve been to this cemetery many times. Sometimes when I’m in a neighborhood, I just come by and I look around. I actually have a friend that got laid to rest here. Sometimes I just come by and look at his grave site. And I’ve logged it before, too. But that was a long time ago. But today is a really special day and you won’t believe it. It’s Marilyn Monroe’s 99th birthday and her graveside is right over here. I’m going to show you in a minute. I can’t believe it. She died in 1962. I wasn’t even born then. I was born in 1968. And when you think about Marilyn Monroe, you know her look and that’s her iconic look that will never go away because it’s immortal in your brain. Like James Dean, Elvis, and all the other people, they died pretty young. But she died when she was 36 years old. And everybody still remembers her. She’s an icon. Everybody knows exactly how she looked. And today I’m here. I just want to show you the graveside. I wanted to come here so many times but I always forgot the day that one day later I came here the birthday was already today is her first birthday on June 1st. Also have to do a shout out to Heidi Clume. Her birthday is as well today. So happy birthday Marilyn Monroe and happy birthday Heidi Clume. In 1936 that wasn’t that big of a cemetery. They didn’t have all those here. They had Marilyn’s wall here. They added all this to it. You can look at some old pictures. But what they still have left is the church where they held her funeral service right in here. And there’s some pictures I want to match up of her getting not carried, but they rolled her casket out the door right here. And then then I made a left and put it right into a hearse. And then the hearse drove all the way around the corner here, stopped, and that’s where they actually put her casket into her grave. Here you can see her rolling out her casket, and everything looks still the same. This is what the church looks from the inside. Everybody who got laid to rest here had their funeral service right in here. I was here not too long ago, and they remodeled the whole place. They got nice chandeliers up there. It looks really nice. Consider how old this place is. Yeah. Some people call it weird what I do to stand here and imagine how it was when I rolled down her casket here. It looked so different back then and they didn’t have all those graves here. And those people look onto the cemetery every day. And here’s a picture of the hearers going by. And then if you go a little bit to the left, there’s a picture. You see Joe Deio walking right here. There’s a few people right there at Marilyn’s grave looking at all the flowers and the messages. I’m going to wait a little bit. They’re putting more flowers up. And there she is, Marilyn. I watch your YouTube channel. You do? I do. Is that okay to put you on it right now? Yes, of course. I love your YouTube channel. Thank you. You look beautiful. Oh my gosh, I can’t believe I’ve met you. I watch you all the time. Well, thank you, Marilyn. Thank you. Can we get a spin here a little bit? Wow. Nice. I am Katie, but I go by Be My Guest XO. B E M Y Gu G U E S S T XO. And that’s on YouTube or what? Uh YouTube, Instagram, X, Tik Tok. Definitely got to check it out. So, today is a really big day for you because of this lady right here. Yes. Why are you so Um, I’m just in love with Maryland. I’m in love with an era that just no longer exists. You know, classy and great music and totally different from today. And um I’ve always loved Marilyn. She’s been my favorite. The most iconic beautiful blonde. And you dress up sometimes. Uh you do this professionally or just Oh, no. No. Just for fun. Just for fun. Just a fan. Just a fan. And can I ask you where do you live? I’m from Mississippi. I came all the way from Mississippi. Oh, that’s awesome. I mean, I missed a few birthdays. I always wanted to come here, but it’s my first time here at her birthday, actually. So, and I expected more people to be here, but there’s a few people already came by and finally I’m get to meet you. That was nice. It was a pleasure. I love your YouTube channel. I watch you all the time from the channel. I’ve told everyone about you. I just I love watching your YouTube channel. Okay, that’s that’s enough now. We got to go back to Maryland, right? This was so worth it to come here today to meet all the people. Thank you. It was a pleasure. Can you sing the song? Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, dear. Happy birthday to you. Awesome. That was my best shot. So, so we got Alex right here. And Alex does Grave Yard Tours, right? Yes, I do. Yes. Live on Tik Tok. On Tik Tok. So, what is your handle on Tik Tok? Hollywood Haunted Tours and Hot Ghost Party. Yes. I’ve been watching him many times. So, he knows a lot about cemeteries. He goes to all the cemeteries. Look how he got three two phones and a 360 camera. That’s pretty cool. We’re going to be trying something new this time around with like 360 and cameras and and I met you before. So, it’s always good to meet people that do the same thing I do. I appreciate it, man. It’s good to see you. You always we always run into each other. So, you know, that means there’s a sign we’re going to be working together on some some projects maybe. Yeah. All right. Good to see you guys. Good to see you guys. And look, we getting more roses for Maryland. Sometimes you really do not know who you can run into. This is actually a picture of Marilyn and this gentleman. Who who took that picture? Bernard of Hollywood aka Bruno Bernard. Yeah. And look at his camera he has. What kind of camera is that? It’s a Canon Scoopic 16 mm. So, you doing like a little movie yourself or I’m doing there’s a big multimedia project coming out for the hundth that I’m part of. So, yeah. Okay. I I did not know it was today. I just came here to location scout for the shoot. Okay. And you’re here on her birthday. And I can’t believe that he actually took that picture. That’s pretty awesome. That’s on the That’s on the set of Seven Your Edge. How long have you been? And that is um It is in New York. It’s not when they did the re-shoots in Los Angeles. So, I mean, good to know. I don’t know much about it, but I’m definitely going to look him up. And, uh, thank you for your information. Of course. Appreciate it. Happy 99th birthday, Marilyn. And you can tell the different color tone because there’s so many lipsticks, kisses on there. And when I wash it off, it changed the color of her gravestone. Dear Melon, I love you. All the messages here. Happy birthday. And this guy, Richard Poncher, is buried upside down with the head looking down to Maryland. That’s what he wanted. And his wife did not agree. And he said, “If you not let me do this, I’m going to haunt you for the rest of my life.” So she agreed to do that. Happy birthday from Scott Forester. Happy birthday, Marilyn. And look at this. This is an artwork I made years ago. And um that’s how Marilyn looked today as a rebel. I made all those tattoos in Photoshop. Look at all the nice flowers she’s getting. There’s a picture of her as a baby and all those nice pictures. Somebody even made a cake here. I’m not sure if it’s a real one, but I don’t want to touch it. Norma Jean, that was her real name. And you can’t see behind it. This is actually where Hugh Hefner got laid to rest. right next to Marilyn. And from what I understood, he never really met Marilyn, but he put her on the cover of the Playboy magazine. And on an auction in March, either this one or this one, they auctioned off for $350,000. So if you want to be laid to rest close to Maryland, just come down here. 350,000. They also actually sold the original placer for 150,000. This is a recreation. That’s not the original that was on there, but that’s what it is right here on Marilyn’s birthday, but uh I’m going to take that back home for sure. With love from Russia. This is a nice picture. Her holding the rose in her mouth. And people turn on the candles already. There’s another cake right there. Lot of kisses. Marilyn Monroe. While I was telling the story about the guy up on top of her, she’s actually correcting me. Not correcting me, but you told me a different story. Adding to your story. Adding to the story. So, what was the story? Well, um, Richard Poner’s wife decided she wanted to make money off that spot, so she tried to sell it for like a lot, and she ended up dying. So, she’s right next to him above Hugh Hefner. I’m going to show you in a second. I didn’t even read the one next to it. And then you said there’s another lady. We’re going to go to it in a second. Hold on one second. I want to show you guys. So that is the guy that’s buried upside down. And that’s actually his wife. So right next to him. So she ended up being with him for eternity right next to Marilyn. And then you said Derby Winters. Deborri Winters. Who was that? Darby Winters was a fan of Rose. So that was where she asked to be buried. See, and that’s what I like about stuff like this. I come here, I meet new people, new information, and that’s what it’s all about, you know. I appreciate your information. Thank you. I like your channel. Thank you. We got another fun fact. Okay, what would that be? Evelyn Morardi is also interred here and she was one of Marilyn Monroe’s like stunt double. Stunt double. I didn’t know that Marilyn had a stunt double. Stunt double. Yes. But look how crazy that is. She can actually I mean she can’t look but she’s basically right across from Marilyn over there and right next to her grave in remembrance of Marilyn Monroe from her many fans I put like a little bench where you can sit down and look at her graveside. Another fun fact, I actually met Hugh Hefner at the Playboy Mansion. Believe it or not, I was there for the Halloween party. A German camera team long time ago wanted to do a story about somebody who normally does not have a chance to go to the Playboy Mansion party and they invited me. They filmed me walking around meeting all those people. And here’s a little clip of it. It’s It was crazy. I met him funny. And he paid I think $75,000 for his right next to Marilyn Monroe. [Music] Another picture before they push the casket in. And then I got another picture where they airtight her casket. So, this is just the outside you see right now. But if you go a little closer, this is the outside. And there’s another wall behind this. And that one is tight uh airtight. And I’m just wondering if the casket looks exactly the same way they push it in or if it’s all the leavitated. I don’t know. Man, it’s so weird to think that Hugh Hefner is right there. The one we always seen from the magazines and Maryland just inches from us right there. That is so sad. Well, happy birthday, Marilyn. This gentleman has been here for a long time. He’s been talking to her the whole time, and he said he’s a big fan since he was really young. He came all the way from France just for her birthday to come here. It is hard to explain, but I love it when people come here from all the way from France to just to see her graveside here and having a good time just standing there. For them, that was a really really big thing. Even though it costs a lot of money, the plane ticket, the hotel, everything. But they do what they love to do and that’s what everybody should do. Whatever you like, spend your money on that and uh enjoy it. No matter if it’s go visited uh somebody famous graveside or maybe you go to Hawaii, maybe you do this. Whatever you enjoy spending your money on, spend your money on. There’s a few famous celebrities in front row right here. There’s Rodney Dangerfield, but really sad to see is Farah Faucet. And look, there’s Ryan O’Neal with his son. He’s standing right here. And there’s also another picture I can match up. When Ryan came here and visit his wife Farah Faucet, he was sitting right there and visiting her. And now he come here and he’s also buried right next to her. And I’m just wondering when they open up. This is a big huge casket they had here. There’s also a picture online. I can show you that. I wonder if her casket is all rotten already because she died in 2009 and he died in 2023. Even though all Charlie’s angels were good-looking, she was special to me. She looked the most beautiful to me with her crazy looking hair and her red um bathing suit. We all had that poster. When Farah Foster was diagnosed with cancer, she went to Germany to get treatment. She didn’t want to do the chemo. So, she did some alternative way, but it didn’t work. I don’t know if she later on got chemo or not. And since I’m here already, I got to smell Pharaoh’s roses. There’s a private area which is locked, but this is where Richard Simmons got laid to rest where the yellow flowers are. So now I showed you Richard Simmons house and his graveside. I don’t even have to do a vlog anymore. And his brother said he was buried in one of his workout clothes. That’s what he wanted. a matchup picture of Michael Douglas sitting on that bench here and he’s visiting his parents’ grave. Kirk and Anne Douglas and of course his brother is also buried here. He died of a drug overdose. But it’s weird to see them sit here. And who knows, maybe one day he’s going to be buried right here, too. At the sanctuary of love, we find a famous actor, comedian, singer, movie star, member of the Red Pack, Dean Martin. I would never thought that I ever going to be standing here because I watched his movies with Jerry Lewis. And now I’m here paying my respect and he’s right behind here just inches from here. His body in the casket. Everybody loves somebody. Sometimes I leave this singing to other people, but he was buried in his tuxedo. And of course, if you’ve seen Marilyn Monro’s grave, you have to see the queen of pinup, Betty Paige. And for sure, you had to come here, right? Absolutely. So, you love her, too? I love her. Such an icon. Yeah. So, you get to see a lot of famous celebrities graves today. Nice. Betty Paige right here. Hi, Yen. All right. So she got some more information about Dorothy Stratton. So Dorothy Stratton was another Playboy Centerfold and she was murdered by her very jealous and soon to be ex-husband um Paul I want to say Schaefer um back in 1980. The the movie Star 80 was based on the their whole thing. He got very jealous of her being a Playboy model. And then next to her is Pierre Bardonovich who was a director and producer who was in love with her and he ended up marrying her sister after she passed away. See, so now here they are together. I knew about her, but I never heard that story. So that’s pretty dope. Thank you. You’re welcome. right underneath a massive tree in the shade which I think is really sad to see that Bert Lancaster, the famous actor just got this little plaque for his graveite. Such a great actor is just right next to all those people. There’s Murf Griffin. I will not be back after this message. That put a smile on your face. Then when you walk in here, we all know the Brady Bunch. And there’s Miss Brady, Florence Henderson right here. Not only did I get to meet Flores Henderson, I also got to do a henna tattoo on her. They came by. It’s like a Good Morning America or some morning show. They came to my store and they wanted me to put a henna tattoo on her. I did it. I forgot what it was, but right away I wiped it off so it’s not going to stay that long. But I met her in person. That was pretty nice. This is Sage Stallone’s final resting place. And he is Sylvester Stallone’s son. He died really early in 2012. People say it was a heart failure. He had problems with his heart before. And rumor has it because there’s no names on those graves right next to him and the one across. So people say those are Zylvester Stallone’s and his wife’s graves. Could be. What is essential is invisible to the eye. I don’t know what that means, but this is Jack Lemon’s grave. Carol O’ Conor, Billy Wilder, I’m a writer, and then we got Sam Sam. He was one of the writer of the Simpsons. There he is. And he had a dog. And it’s funny, right next to him is Peter Fork. He played Mr. Columbbo. David Berlin. Sounds like a German name. We got James Harrison Corborn. He was Bruce Lee’s personal friend. And I don’t really know where he’s buried. That’s a bench. But he was in the great escape, Billy the Kid and the Magnificent Seven. Paul Gleason, he was in the Breakfast Club. I think he played the principal and just some people come here and write stories, get inspired, and there’s still people there at Maryland’s place. And this is my friend Oliver, Prince Olivhart. He died in 2016 in a motorcycle accident and his real name is Oliver Bandic but he got adopted by the prince Fon Anhal who was married to Jaja Gabbor. Rumor has it that he paid a million dollars for the name. Such tragic accident. It was we got many good stories. We came here around the same time he became really successful. He opened up two gentleman clubs, you know, bars where girls dance on tables and stuff. Became super rich and had a motorcycle, was driving on Molland Drive, and a kid who was doing his driver’s license did a Uturn in a corner and he came really fast and hit the car and he passed away. But we got some really good memories together. We went to the Roxberry, the nightclub. He used to have a limousine company and he had somebody else drive us around in his limousine. So when we got there, we got in all my our friends worked at the at the door. So we got in for free. We went to the VIP room. We saw all the celebrities and I played back with him so many times and like this boom life is over. You never know. all the money, everything he had is worth nothing. But it’s really sad and it really really bothers me that I’m 57 already. I never really thought about that much about dying then in the last few years because you never know. It can happen tomorrow. It can happen next week. It can happen any time and it’s forever, forever, forever, forever. And then people say, “Yeah, you should believe in Jesus.” Then you know what can I say? It really bothers me. It freaks me out when I think about it. Pretty pretty nervous about it. I don’t know how you guys feel about it, but most of my friends don’t want to talk about it, but I think about stuff like this every single day. And I think about my mom not being there anymore. You know, it’s like what is it all about? I’m thinking and thinking and thinking, but I don’t get an answer. So, we just have might as well live life as good as we can. It is so weird. One time 2:00 in the morning, I’m riding my bicycle in Venice. He walks in Venice and I ride my bicycle and we just bumped to each other and he was just sitting there for hours talking about life. He just came from one of his clubs, had a lot of stress, so he just want to walk it off on the beach and then he asked about my life and we just chatting about life. And there we got Don Nuts with all the different characters he played. This Andy Griffith, I think he gave him five Grammys. They had a regular gravestone before, but they now changed it and it looks really nice. I love when you have like pictures of that person on the gravestone. It makes it more personal. I actually glue a picture of my dad onto my dad’s gravestone so people can see how he looked like. So, rumor always has it that Frank Zappa used to be right here. You said on the internet. Yes. It points right here. Right here. And guess what? He’s not here. He’s not here. Way back over here. The director here of the cemetery said that he’s right here. Right. Exactly here. So, this is the spot where Frank Zapper is buried. He got an unmarked grave. So, if you ever come here, I mean, it we don’t really know for sure, but uh right here when you drive in, there’s this big tree. And since he’s been doing all the research and he knows a lot about graves, so I go with his word that Frank Zappa is right here. There’s a Cadillac hurse. Look how many people are buried here. so close next to each other. See, I don’t really know if you’re allowed to walk on it or not, but I’m not trying it. But I guess you have to if you want to look up somebody being over there. There’s another unmarked grave, but somebody wrote the name Roy Orbitson. And I don’t know why they don’t have a plaque because he was a really good singer. My mom loves his music. Mom, this is for you. Roy Orbertson’s grave. Unmarked, but now we know that he’s here. Walter Mau, we all know him from a grumpy old man, but he was never grumpy. He was a really nice guy. He also was in the odd couple and Dennis the Menace, Walter Matau. Well, my friends, that was it. Live here from the Piers Brothers Cemetery. And finally, I made it to Maryland’s birthday. See all the nice flowers. I always wanted to come here, but sometimes I was in Germany, sometimes I forgot the date. If you happen to like this video, you might want to give it a thumbs up, push notification bell, and subscribe to the German Venice next year. She’s going to be 100 years old. I already met a few people. They say it’s going to be a big party, so we’ll see what’s going to happen. Thank you for watching. There’s way more celebrities here on this um cemetery, but I didn’t want to make this video too long. You can come here. There’s like a map where you can walk around and see who’s buried here. Anyway, I see you guys later. Take care. Ching. [Music]

Next year, plan on bringing some flower arrangement with a big lace that reads โ€œFrom The German In Veniceโ€. I think people from around the world will come to the grave and hundreds of pictures and videos will be taken and your name will be there on each one of them.

    7. Yes, Michael, believe in Jesus Christ. Accept him as your savior. Like you said, itโ€™s forever after you die. So you better make sure you are right with GOD. Jesus.

    8. Yo, can we call GiV a peeping Tom or just down right a pervert?? Homeboy couldโ€™ve moved the camera away when that girl bent over like thatโ€ฆ heโ€™s done some sketchy stuff in the past too.

    9. Happy birthday, Marilyn!
Thanks, Mike! I really like how you match up the older photos with your video. My dad would have been 100 years old, this November 10th.

    10. I think it was Jacklyn Smith, one of the cast members of Charlieโ€™s angels who said that now Farrah is with the real angels. Her real name was Mary and she was from Corpus Christie Texas

    11. Death will come to all eventually. We live and die. However, we all must come to make peace with God- Jesus Christ. So yes, you do have to have a relationship with Christ. Not religion but a relationship. Speak to Him and love Him. He will meet you right where you are. Once you come to terms with Him, then your fears or thoughts of death, etc. will be transformed into peaceful ones. But thinking about it will not give you an answer. Search for the answer by going to God. He will give you peace and will guide you in your life. โค

    12. What an awesome blog today, it was fabulous seeing the Marilyn fan @BeMyGuestXO and the others as well as GiV fans – they really made this special with all their knowledge. I am a praying person and I go along with living your best life, helping others when you can, being a good human, but we wouldn't be human if we didn't worry a little about passing on into the great unknown. One thing seemed to help me was I added praying for a peaceful death to my list. Helped me, might help someone else ๐Ÿ˜Š

    13. I love this cemetery, I've been there many times! You can walk for hours seeing everyone. In particular, I went to pray at the grave of Jennifer Syme, who was Keanu Reeves's girlfriend who died in a tragic car accident back in 2001. I learned her story and prayed for her. GiV, I can say that being a Catholic has given me a hopeful expectation of death, and receiving Holy Communion unites me very intimately with those who have died, including my loved ones. God loves us to the end and without exception. I love what you do!

    14. James Colburn's Ashes are buried in the leg of the bench on one side where his name is and his wife's Ashes are buried in the other leg of the bench where her name is. A cemetery worker gave me a tour in 2010 and he told me this.

    15. Hey Mike, you looking like a new man without the beard. Love the cemeteries in California They are always so beautiful. Hard to believe sheโ€™s 99. Weโ€™re all getting old. Be safe. Have a great day.

    16. I personally think death a lot. Lost my sister 3.5yers and my mom 2.5 years ago they both passed away 11 months apart . Crazy how things happen
