May 30th, Tay penned a lengthy letter announcing she’s regained ownership over her music masters. The 35-year-old said she’s now flashing back to uncertain times, writing in part of the touchandgo journey. Quote, “All the times I was this close, reaching for it only for it to fall through.” A little math later, Swifties counting 12 eyes, perhaps pointing to the new album, with fans also citing a previous post on March 22nd when Taylor returned to Instagram to shout out Selena Gomez and her bestiey’s new album with Beyonce Benny Blanco. Yep, the extra D’s adding up to 12. Back in her note, she also shared the fate of the long- awaited Reputation Taylor’s version. While the re-record of her debut albums on deck for a later date, she’s pushed pause on Reputation TV, telling fans, “It’s the album in those first six that I thought couldn’t be improved on by redoing it.” The Reputation album was so specific to that time in my life, and I kept hitting a stopping point when I tried to remake it.
