What Happens To Your Pet If You’re Arrested?

what happens to your pet if you get arrested first the police will usually try to call a friend or family member to take care of your pet but if no one picks up that’s when animal control gets involved while you’re being processed getting your fingerprints and mug shot taken and being put in a holding cell animal control is already driving your pet to a shelter most shelters will hold your pet for a few days sometimes longer depending on the situation but in many states just being in jail can legally count as abandonment which means your pet can be rehomed okay but if someone adopts my dog I can still get them back right sometimes but it’s rare only about one in four dog owners get their pets back but I called in a favor pebbles i always knew subscribing would pay

DISCLAIMER (Of course, I’d have one 😁)
Hey, you might think that this info makes me your lawyer, but it doesn’t and I’m not. Sorry, but I AM NOT YOUR LAWYER unless we have an engagement agreement. I am just providing public information here, like a library does, and am not providing you with legal advice about your situation. So, it would be totally unreasonable for you to conclude we have an attorney-client relationship just because you’re viewing this information.

    1. That’s why it’s usually best to avoid anything that might GET you arrested, right?? Don’t do the crime & you won’t have to do the time (for the most part, anyway). 🤷‍♀️⚖️🙂
