koko Goff has added a new championship title to her impressive resume on Saturday June 7th the 21-year-old won the French Open for the first time as she defeated topranked Arena Sabalanka in the women’s final the tennis star became the first American to win the French Open since Serena Williams in 2015 according to ESPN after the match Koko was seen celebrating with Spike Lee and later told reporters in a press conference that she had spotted the Oscar winner during warm-ups i seen him at my matches at US Open and then when I saw him on the court today I saw him when I was warming up they like panned the camera to him in the gym when I was warming up and I was like “Oh my gosh Spike Lee’s there.” And then um I kind of felt bad because I usually put my towel in that spot which is why I feel like he sat there um but because you know the lower ranked player gets the other box I put my towel in the other box and then when I saw him on the court I was like “If I win this match the first person I’m going to dap up is Spike Lee.” And so once I won the match I went on the ground and everything i was headed straight to Spikeley yeah um I for I wanted to tell him you know I had to do it you know even though the Knicks didn’t win I’m glad I gave him something to cheer for um so yeah that was pretty cool i haven’t seen the video yet but I’m I’m excited to see it plus celebrities including former President Barack Obama shared congratulatory messages to the 21-year-old following her second Grand Slam title victory congratulations to Koko Goff for an amazing championship at the French Open the first American singles champion at Roland Garros in a decade you make us all proud the former president wrote on X his wife former first lady Michelle Obama also shared a message saying “Congrats Koko Goff your determination strength and grace throughout the French Open has inspired us all and showed us what’s possible proud of you.” Meanwhile LeBron James reposted former President Obama’s message and added “I second that congratulations my fellow flag bearer Koko Goff.” Alongside emojis of clapping hands and a heart koko and LeBron led the US as flag bearsers at the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony plus Matthew McConna also shared on X writing “Coko Goff takes the French congrats on second major and first on Clay.” While Carrie Washington posted a picture of the athlete to her Instagram story and added “Coco alongside many exclamation marks and trophy emojis.” The tennis champ was additionally congratulated by other current and former tennis professionals including Raphael Nadal Carlos Alcarez and Billy Jean King

I have been warning Black Americans for some time now: if you do not change your thinking and your priorities, your future generations will end up right back where you started. Africa spans six time zones and stretches over 15,000 km from north to south. It is the only continent that has everything it needs. We just need you to bring your skills.
We should be planning for the future post white people, where every Black American child must be introduced to Africa and given the option of a future there. Black people will never be accepted as equals anywhere else until Africa is free and developed. Obama becoming president in the U.S. meant absolutely nothing.
