Bridgerton’s Genevieve Chenneour Speaks Out After Robbery in London | E! News

you know what i had a bit of a sick sense that something wasn’t quite right bridgetgerton star Genevieve Shaur is speaking out after fighting off a thief the actress who played Clara Livingston in season 3 of the hit Netflix period drama is speaking out about a February incident where she fought off a thief trying to steal her phone while she was sitting in a London cafe the incident which was caught on security footage and has since gone viral explains what happened during a June 12th appearance on This Morning you know what i had a bit of a sick sense that something wasn’t quite right you know as a woman you have that kind of intuition and I could feel people moving around me in a different way but I only became aware of it once the incident had happened the actress goes on to explain that the terrifying ordeal lasted about 5 minutes you end up on the floor holding him down on the floor yeah it was about 5 minutes I think I’ve been told and it kind of went round the corner and it turned into like a full-on scrap with two people genevieve said her training from working on set along with growing up with brothers inspired her to fight back even if it came with a real risk i was you know threatened with being stabbed so it became a real matter of in my mind life and death so I I did things like I remember kicking him back with my leg to create space in case he had a weapon on him and while she has since recovered from a concussion the emotional toll has long-term effects as a woman we’re already I think have our wits about us um around strangers and random men so to have this happen to me while dealing with that probably base level that a lot of women have just made me quite agobic yeah leaving the house was really hard [Music]
