i just don’t believe in it mariah Carey admits she doesn’t believe in the concept of time during an appearance on the UK version of Capital FM the singer takes part in a rapidfire question segment where she reveals that she refuses to acknowledge the idea of time passing is it true you don’t acknowledge the passing of time that is true what do you mean by that i just don’t believe in it what the do you mean time zones or no no just time just time and when she’s asked to further explain Mariah candidly admits that her disbelief even extends to her own birthday do you celebrate your birthday i don’t have a birthday no anniversaries anniversaries yes okay great but no birthdays but if we were to meet up later how how would we know when we would just It would just happen on Mariah’s time would have somebody call you and figure it out that’s fantastic but this isn’t the first time Mariah has been open about her beliefs surrounding time during a 2014 interview with Out Magazine the 56-year-old addressed the topic of aging and how in her mind she will always be 12 years old telling the outlet “I’m eternally 12 years old i don’t count years i have anniversaries not birthdays because I celebrate life.” And Mariah later echoed the same sentiment in an interview with Complex in 2016 sharing “I don’t have a birthday i was just dropped here it was a fairyland experience [Music]
Mariah Carey revealed that she refuses to acknowledge the idea of time passing and how it even extends to her own birthday.

I think I get it. In my opinion. We are all getting older. Birthdays can be depressing. It’s actually a better attitude to live your life than counting numbers.
I wouldn’t want to be eternally 12, I was a mess at 12 lol.

Mariah is 100% right… if you look at her.. and then check all those around her age and younger.. SHE LOOKS AND PERFORMS (energy wise) way better than them. Lazy folks ALLOW themselves to get "old" and then want to drag others down in that barrel with them. It's easier for them to do that, then to wake up in the morning and do some cardio, and full body exercises.. and eat right. So when they say "old" and start counting OTHER PEOPLE'S birthdays, they're just talking about themselves..
She's still 56 whether she likes it or not.
