new details about the body discovered near Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island home have been confirmed The South Kingstown Police Department announced in a June 13th press release that the remains were identified by the state medical examiner’s office as 31-year-old Eric Wean Wayne a resident of Massachusetts per authorities was reported missing on April 18th days after his vehicle was found in South Kingtown Rhode Island on April 10th Queen’s remains were discovered on the morning of May 14th in the coastal town of Westerly less than a mile from where the singer has a home Authorities told NBC News in a statement The statement released June 13th read “After working closely with the Mansfield Police Department and the Rhode Island Office of the State Medical Examiners the South Kingtown Police Department has formally concluded its investigation No foul play is expected We extend our deepest condolences to Mr W’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.” The Westerly Police Department statement continued “Upon arrival officers located what appeared to be a human leg bone The remains were collected and transferred to the Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office for further analysis.” The police added “Currently no foul play suspected Investigators are awaiting official confirmation of the identity of the remains.” Swift who purchased her beachfront home in 2013 was not in the area at the time of the discovery Aside from hosting her star-studded Fourth of July gatherings the beachfront property has served as inspiration for her music [Music]
