    netflix is diving into the disaster of Carnival Triumph after the toilets stopped working on February 7th 2013 the Carnival Triumph set off from Galveastston Texas for what was supposed to be a 4-day pleasure cruise to Kazamel Mexico and back but instead the voyage turned into an 8-day nightmare for 4,229 passengers and crew members after a fire took out the boat’s power meaning no hot meals no air conditioning and most horrifically almost no functioning toilets netflix’s train wreck poop cruise revisited that stunning moment in time with passengers and staffers who lived through it recounting just how gross it was
    the toilets weren’t working well we can do a number one in the shower and then
    I’m telling you it got bad fast i would never expect having to poop in a red bag

    a tense city also sprang up on board as passengers used bed sheets and lounge chairs to make individual shelters for their own groups on the deck
    everyone’s out for themselves
    you could hear the panic we were starting to smell urine
    oh my god it was terrifying
    strong currents delayed the rescue of passengers and it took days to tow the ship to Alabama after the rescue a number of lawsuits were filed in the aftermath of the cruise and according to the documentary the company spent 115 million to clean repair and refit the Triumph
    it was like something that came out of a nightmare movie

    1. I thought they were stranded for more than 5 days, that’s not that bad. On Netflix everyone was just acting like they were traumatized when they got back, saying how stronger they feel after this ordeal, lol
