i feel like we’ve heard more of Aza’s side of the story can you give your take on the situation
so we want to bring trauma into this
yeah let’s do it let’s It’s pride we can get a therapy couch if you need to
i’m turning 31 this year and we were well over 23 24 when we first started the house so obviously as children cuz that that’s what we were um when Aza got on Drag Race we went from being these little like bar queens to now having to uplift our friend who became super famous right and was having the opinions of the entire world thrown at her so when you’re in that position your mindset changes with everyone and everything around you and you don’t tend to realize those things so that tends to put like you know a strain in the friendship and stuff and then I got a drag daughter Muse um and you know that that that was my thing with the brand and you know I I love a brand but I also love candy muse you know aside from being just in a house cuz you want to in in life you want to create something for yourself right and to me it’s not drama friends fall apart right and you have to give each you have to give each other that time to grow and learn and then the pandemic happened and then I went to go film Drag Race and said a few things I should have said on TV and and that hurt her right and in my mind I was like I was like “Oh girl why was this playing like this role for television?” But if it hurt you I can’t deny your feelings like
we we didn’t speak for a few years and then I think it was right after my season where we kind of just like she did this uh podcast and I I it was a video on YouTube and I wrote a comment i you know I apologized i was like girl reach out and whatever so she saw the comment and we since then have have been really really good i like
people think that because I am very loud and and don’t hold my opinions you know I I’m going to let you know how I feel that that I’m a but that at the end of the day that’s my drag mother that’s I I can have this amazing career now but at the root of it all that’s where I began in Brooklyn and she gave me my first gig and has always uplifted me and when she was on Drag Race and had her huge platform she always put me in the forefront and that’s how come people knew who I was before I even got on television so and I’m going to always root for her and that’s why when it came down to her Allstars run I was you know with whatever I could help her with I was really trying to help her the most and and I’m going to always uh root for my girl maybe like two months ago uh we all sat at my house uh and we were just all really lit and we were just all like you know what let’s have a therapy session let’s let’s talk about what we did wrong as children ap you know we we just all sat and apologized and just all you know everyone was just boohooing and but it was nice and it was healing because we’re in we’re in our 30s now we’re not [Music]
