King Charles’ Eye Injury EXPLAINED by the Palace
[Music] An apparent injury to King Charles’s eye, stealing the spotlight as he hosts the president of France. The 3-day state visit, which began on Tuesday, started with full ceremonial honors at Windsor Castle, a carriage procession, and a fancy banquet. Queen Camila was there. So were Will and Kate. [Applause] But royal watchers spotted something else. Now look closely and you’ll see painful looking redness in the king’s right eye. So what happened? Well, the palace was quick to quell concern, reportedly revealing that Charles simply burst a blood vessel, which could be caused by something as harmless as a strong sneeze. It’ll typically heal on its own, and it appears unrelated to his ongoing cancer battle. The king is keeping busy. We know he’s a workaholic. We know he’s dedicated to what he does. The monarch has continued most of his royal duties after revealing his diagnosis last year. The type of cancer he’s battling was kept secret and in March he was briefly hospitalized due to the side effects of his treatment. It really has been a very tough time for the royal family. My understanding is that he is in good spirits. Um and the sense at the palace um is that they are very optimistic.
