Influencer Tanner Martin Laid to Rest After Announcing His Own Death | E! News

Tanner Martin has been laid to rest. A week after the 30-year-old influencer announced to his account that he passed away following a year’slong battle with colon cancer, his loved ones paid tribute at his funeral on July 5th. With Tanner’s dad tearfully sharing during the eulogy, “It is an honor and pleasure to be his dad. He was always just generally happy. He wanted to be everyone’s friend.” going on to know how they shared their final moments with Tanner. His father adds, “During Tanner’s last week, his brother Spencer and I watched with him the original Star Wars trilogy. We’d stay with him at night and make sure he had everything he needed.” On June 25th, Tanner, who recently welcomed a baby girl, Amy Lou, with his wife in May, posted a shocking video to his and Sha’s joint Instagram account that he had passed away in hopes of making her grief journey easier. Hey, it’s me, Tanner. If you’re watching this, I am dead. Um, I decided to to make this video announcing my death cuz I saw someone did that uh like a year or so ago and I think it’s a good opportunity to get all your thoughts out and and then also you can be thoughtful about what your your spouse or your partner might need. Um, and she probably needs some time to grieve. So, I wanted to I wanted to make a video where she could just post it and you guys would know and she could take a break as long as she needed to from from social media or whatever. Um, but you guys, seriously, thank you for for all that you you did for me while I was here and all the support and love that you showed me and my little family. Um, I would ask at this time if you could, you know, continue to offer prayers and stuff for my my sweetheart Shay and my baby girl Jza. I love you guys and seriously, thanks again for all your support and helping to make the last years of my life here on Earth like fun and enjoyable and helping me be comfortable. Um, I love you guys. Be kind to each other. uh assume good intent in other people and you guys will just have a happy life. And uh anyway, I love you. See you. [Music]
