Days after Michael Madson died at 67 years old, cause of death details have been revealed. Speaking with NBC4 Los Angeles, the Reservoir Dog stars cardiologist has confirmed Michael died from heart failure with heart disease and alcoholism listed as contributing factors, ending the LA Sheriff Department’s investigation days after Michael suffered his fatal heart attack. Law enforcement discovered Michael unresponsive at his Malibu home where he was pronounced dead at the scene on July 3rd. In a statement to NBC4, Madson’s rep said at the time he was working right up until the end. Quote, “In the last two years, Michael Madson has been doing some incredible work with independent film.” Adding, “He was one of Hollywood’s most iconic actors who will be missed by many. Among them, Michael’s likewise famous sister, Virginia Madson, who shared multiple tributes to her brother on Instagram. The actress writing in the wake of Michael’s death, “He was thunder and velvet, mischief wrapped in tenderness. I’ll miss our inside jokes, the sudden laughter, the sound of him. I’ll miss the boy he was before the legend. I miss my big brother. [Music]

I especially feel sorry for his sister Virginia, I have two older brothers and am in my 50s, and losing one of them would break me, since both our parents are gone, they are the only close family I have, the only people who knew our parents, and remember things that happened when I was a kid, things we experienced together.
