Why Freddie Prinze Jr. Says He Gets “Bad” Marriage Advice | E! News

My favorite, Freddy Prince Jr. and Jennifer Lawitt are reprising their roles in helping a new group of teenagers fight for their lives in the latest installment of I Know What You Did Last Summer. And we spoke to the two about teaming up once again. The cops are not going to help us. Then we’ll find someone who will. It isn’t something I like talking about. You survived this once. We need your help. What did it feel like to get back into this to revisit this world for you? Terrifying. I mean, truly terri. Yeah. But like filled with so much gratitude. Your kids are too not old enough for something like this yet, are they? But have they? It’s their first horror movie that they’ve ever seen. They were like so tripped out that it was me. Um, and then they just loved it. I have not decided if they’re going to see this one right away, but they’ve seen the first two. Are there other things that you thought about that you would like to go back and revisit? I really would love to revisit Heartbreakers. If you were the conning mom and with the daughter, who would you want to see in that daughter role? I mean, Jenna Ortega, obviously, I’m obsessed with Once you were on set and you were, you know, face to face with Freddy. How did that feel? I mean, it’s how I picture a high school reunion to feel. It was an outof body experience for me. Um, I don’t think I fully digested it until we were done with that first scene. Then I was like, “Oh my god, it’s just a scene with Freddy. [Music] You need to handle this. This isn’t the first time there’s been violence like this in Southport. There’s a lot of pressure when you bring someone back that people love to to make sure you get it right. This was so wonderfully structured and put together in such a way that I said yes before the script was written. I said yes off the idea and I said, “We’ll work it out.” Freddy met his wife Sarah Michelle Geller on the set of the original film 28 years ago. So, what’s the best marriage advice he’s ever received? I’ve never gotten any good advice. Most of the advice, marriage advice, came from dudes that were divorced that thought we would get divorced, too. Dana Carvey said that his 50s were the best years of his marriage that he had experienced, and I’m almost 50, so I’m looking forward to that. Freddy also told us why he opted not to return for the She’s All That remake. It didn’t feel very organic. It felt very forced and last minute and more like a marketing ploy than than a cool part to the story. So, that was why I said no to that. How are the kids in these towns always solving the crimes? Uh, the kids are very smart, Justin. And you can catch I Know What You Did Last Summer in theaters July 18th. [Music]
