Brad Pitt Requests Private Messages Amid Angelina Jolie Legal Battle | E! News
Brad Pitt is taking further steps in his ongoing legal battle with ex Angelina Jolie. Although the former couple who shares kids Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivien and Knox officially finalized their divorce in December following 8 years of proceedings. They are still settling a dispute over Chateau Miraal, the French winery they previously owned together. According to court documents obtained by ENews, Brad is seeking to depose Alexi Olenik, who works for the alcohol brand Stole Group. In his June 30th filing, Brad says that Alexi had firstirhand knowledge of Angelina’s 2021 sale of the former couple’s winery to Tanut Delando, which is the wine division of Stoli. The actor alleges in his filing that Alexi has refused to turn over relevant documents pertaining to the sale of the winery. These requests go directly to key allegations about Pit’s objections to the sale, the standard for discoverability given Pit’s allegations that Jolie acted with malice in selling to Stoie, a counterparty she knew Pit opposed. E-News has reached out to reps for Brad and Angelina for comment, but has not yet heard back. Brad’s latest filing comes 3 years after he initially sued Angelina for selling the winery in 2022, claiming in the original documents obtained by People that his ex’s sale of their former estate was part of a vindictive war against him. As for Angelina’s part, she counters sued the actor. In her own filing, she alleges that she had only sold the property because Brad had tried to get her to sign an NDA as part of his own deal, one that would have barred her from discussing a 2016 incident during which Brad was allegedly physically and emotionally abusive with his family.
