Erik Menendez Diagnosed With “Serious Medical Condition” | E! News
Eric Menendez is navigating a health battle behind bars as the 54year-old and his brother Lyall Menendez await their August 22nd parole hearing following their resentencing for the 1989 murder of their parents, Mary Louise Kitty Menendez and Jose Mendez. Attorney Mark Geros says Eric would benefit from an immediate release from prison. Mark told TMZ in an interview July 22nd, “I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag. Eric is having a serious medical condition right now.” However, when pressed for more information regarding his client’s diagnosis, he continued, “I’m not going to violate HIPPA or attorney/client or anything else.” But if there was ever anybody who should be furled, especially right now, a month before the hearing, it’s Eric. Indeed, Mark noted that Eric was being treated for something undisclosed. He added, “It’s a serious condition. He needs, I think, to be out and focus on the hearing.” Mark implored the help of California Governor Gavin Newsome to take action for Eric. He added he should be medically furled ahead of the parole hearing and get up to speed and do it and give it his best shot. And when TMZ asked if Eric’s predicament was life-threatening, the attorney expressed hopefully not. Enus has reached out to Eric’s attorney as well as his wife Tammy Mendez regarding his health, but has not yet heard back. Eric and Ly’s parole hearing slated for August 22nd is exactly a month away after the life sentences they received in 1996 were reduced to 50 years to life with eligibility for parole in May. During the siblings legal victory, the judge told the court, “I can’t make a finding that they are an unreasonable risk.” When the brothers, who have now served 35 years in prison, appear in court next month, California parole board will decide whether they are fit for release. @kelseedigmanan Are you serious? You cannot be real, has to be a bot. Erik Menendez is exactly where he belongs. Media is reporting he is “sick.” Doesn’t mean anything, & is probably an exaggeration of the facts, nor does it change ANYTHING, he will get his Netflix sponsored “parole hearing,” which will be denied despite this “I am sick show let me out to heal” that is being put out to garner sympathy for them in an attempt to keep their names relevant in social media until that parole hearing. They did it, they admitted it, & if you did your research (highly unlikely) make more money in prison than you can possibly imagine. They do not have a rough life, & never did.
