Dog the Bounty Hunter’s Stepson on Psychiatric Hold After Son’s Death | E! News
Gregory Zea is struggling with the loss of his son. A rep for his family tells TMZ July 21st that after he shot and killed his 13-year-old son Anthony during an accidental shooting, the stepson of Dwayne Dog Chapman has been placed on psychiatric hold because he’s so devastated by the loss of his child. Gregory, who’s the son of Dog the Bounty Hunter stars wife Francancy Fra and her late husband, has been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold, according to the rep, meaning that he’s been involuntarily detained for 72 hours due to having a mental health disorder, being a danger to himself, being a danger to others, or being gravely disabled. The rep clarifies to TMZ that Gregory’s hold is a result of his grief over the tragedy, and not because he feels guilty of a crime in relation to the shooting. Gregory fatally shot his son on July 19th at their apartment in Naples, Florida. Two days later, the sheriff’s office shared that they are conducting a death investigation in connection with the shooting, which they described as an isolated incident. And while Gregory has yet to publicly address the accident, his mom and stepdad have since spoken out on the family’s untimely loss. Reps for both Dog and Francancy wrote in a statement to TMZ July 19th, quote, “We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony.
