Sharon Osborne is feeling the support after Ozie Osborne’s death. The Osborne’s alum shared her appreciation after Gavin Rossdale posted a tribute to the late Black Sabbath rocker in the wake of his passing July 22nd after a yearslong battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was 76 years old. Gavin posts a photo of himself with Azie on Instagram and writes in the caption, quote, “RIP Aussie, a great man, a true legend. I met Azie through Jack just a few times, but he was so warm and kind and funny, and I love that memory. Sending much love to his family at this difficult time. Rest in power. In the comment section of the post, Sharon writes, quote, “Bless you.” It’s the 72-year-old’s first public comment since announcing her husband’s death July 22nd with a joint family statement. That statement from Sharon along with her kids Amy, Kelly, Jack, and Lewis, which was shared to E!News, News reads, quote, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Azie Osborne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.” After news of Azy’s passing broke, other stars took to social media to honor the legendary rocker, including his band Black Sabbath, which wrote simply on Instagram, quote, “Aussie forever.

My deepest condolences to the entire Osbourne family. They have lost a great father, husband, uncle, thank you Ozzy for your great talent and sense of humor.

My favorite Ozzy story is from the late 1970s when Van Halen were opening up for Black Sabbath. This is what I remember reading about it.
Black Sabbath and VH rolled into a hotel the night before a show but Ozzy never showed up for his room key. A panic ensued as the band and their manager had no idea what happened to him. Was he in the previous city? Did he miss the tour bus? Did he wander off? Did someone kidnap him or worse? At some point later in the day, Ozzy seemed to come out from nowhere. After the confusion subsided, it was found out that when they got to the hotel, Ozzy found a room with the door open that was being cleaned by housekeeping. He went inside and chased the housekeeper out because he was tired then he went to bed. The room was supposed to be vacant so the hotel didn't know he was inside. When he appeared the next day, Ozzy had no idea that he caused a panic for hours prior. It was just business as usual for him.
He was a character who was larger than life! He will be missed…
