Astronomer’s Kristin Cabot Resigns After Coldplay, Andy Byron Scandal | E! News
There’s been a new development in the aftermath of the Coldplay Kiss Cam scandal. NBC News confirms astronomer HR executive Kristen Kabat has resigned from the company. A company rep tells the outlet, “I can confirm that Kristen Kat is no longer with Astronomer. She has resigned.” The news comes just days after astronomer CEO Andy Byron stepped down in the wake of the controversy. The company told E-News in a July 19th statement, “Andy Byron has tendered his resignation and the board of directors has accepted.” The company added that the former CEO has failed to meet the company’s standards of conduct, saying the board will begin a search for our next chief executive as co-founder and chief product officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO. Byron resigned from his position after two people believed to be him and Kitt were involved in a viral moment at a recent Coldplay concert that led to allegations he was having an affair. 3 days after the July 16th concert in Foxboro, Massachusetts, Astronomer released another statement on behalf of the company announcing that its board of directors had launched a formal investigation into the matter and would have additional details to share very shortly. The company later said in a July 18th statement on X, “Ast astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability. [Music]
