Sophia Vgara revealing her knee required a second surgery. The actress shared her medical update on Instagram July 25th, sharing pics snapped as she enters another road to recovery. Sophia all smiles for a selfie inside a doctor’s room with the Modern Family star also showing a close-up of her leg as a gray brace covers her calf alongside her bandage covered right knee. Sophia stopped short of detailing the latest operation, simply writing in her caption, “It’s done.” Round two, adding heart and prayer emojis. This comes more than a year after knee issues led to Sophia’s first procedure. The America’s Got Talent judge shared her surgery with fans in April 2024 on Instagram, praising her now ex orthopedic surgeon Justin Salomon, who was caring for Sophia as she recovered at the time before the two ultimately went their separate ways in January. Sophia’s also detailed what she learned decades ago from a serious health scare. She was diagnosed with non-life-threatening thyroid cancer at 28 years old, but an operation and radiation treatment led to her now cancer-free status. During a Stand Up to Cancer TV special in 2021, Sophia shared gratitude for quote, “The support of my doctors and most importantly, my family,” adding, “I learned a lot during that time.
