Brandon Routh has yet to congratulate fellow Superman David Corenswet

Brandon, have you seen the new Superman? Uh, yes. I’m sure everyone asked you this. You did? Yeah. I I enjoyed it very much. I’m very happy for everybody involved, and I think David did just an amazing job. Were you able to speak with him or I no I I I I I have yet to to to speak with him but um I look forward to you know sometime in the our paths will will cross I imagine but uh I’m just uh I’m happy that Superman’s back and uh in such a you know kind of uplifting energetic uh way kind of relaunching the DC uh universe and uh in a new way I I trust and you know it’s a good summer for that. We need some positivity in the world. I get I get a a a lot of stuff, but but uh Superman is always the coolest one and they’re different stories. It comes in kind of different different stories, but of a similar thing. I mean it’s it’s you know whether it’s somebody who was in the military and out of the country in 2006 when the movie came out or even when the DVD came out or even Legends of Tomorrow like you know the comfort that the entertainment we provide uh can give to people and the sense of home and and family that we can you know through the power of the art that we make give people home when they’re not at home is pretty awesome. And then when people share those intimate moments, you know, it’s uh you know, it’s it’s awesome and it just it adds to, you know, the coolness of this of the the job that we get to do. Did you go to school with Jason Mamoa? Well, yeah, I he’s uh he’s only two months older than I am, but he was a grade above me. But yeah, we we did uh you know, we played soccer and Cub Scouts and all that stuff together and uh crazy. So, yeah, we go we go way back. Although I I know him better u the little bit that I’ve seen him over the past couple years, I know him better as an adult than I did as a kid. Just, you know, being teammates.

Brandon Routh is eager to offer kudos to fellow Superman David Corenswet on his “amazing” portrayal of the Son of Krypton in the newest version of the superhero flick, he told The Post.

“I have yet to speak with him, but I look forward to,” Routh said.

“You know, sometime our paths will cross, I imagine, but I’m just happy that Superman’s back and in such an uplifting, energetic way, kind of relaunching the DC Universe in a new way I trust.

“It’s a good summer for that. We need some positivity in the world.”
