Fans got a shadowy preview of the infamous creature back in May when a trailer for Netflix’s adaptation of Mary Shel’s iconic tale dropped. In the teaser, the cryptic creature hunts its creator, Dr. Victor Frankenstein, played by Oscar Isaac. Victor. Now, the streamer has released a clearer view of the monster, played by Euphoria and Saltburn star Jacob Allerty. In the image, the actor’s eyes bring a humanity to the creature, surrounded by green tinted skin, while the rest of his features are hidden behind swats of fabric and fur. According to Vanity Fair, which visited director GMO del Toro and the cast on set, when fully exposed, the creature resembles a marble statue from antiquity that has been shattered and fused back together. In fact, Lordy wasn’t sure if he should check out past interpretations of the creature, telling Vanity Fair in its article published July 28th, I asked Gerummo, “Should I watch the other Frankenstein?” And he goes, “What the do you mean?” I was like, “Well, I don’t want it to be influenced.” He says, “My friend, it’s a movie. It can’t hurt you. I went home and I just binged them.” Jacob adds of his own take on the Titan of horror lore, “Something in his gaze, something in the way that he moves. But that's good though. It's nice to have do something Totally Different. Hes a great actor and he can do more than just teen young adult stuff or the toxic love interest. Also Mary Shelley described him just like Jacob, tall prominent features and quite handsome. He's supposed to the ultimate human come to life.
He is like the sexier and man version of Timothee chalamet
Del Toro has a gift for casting unexpected talent in unforgettable roles. Jacob Elordi as the Monster is definitely one to watch.
Frankenstein's Monster is grey ish.
I only know this guy for being in so many slop Netflix young adult movies. Hopefully he's like Robert Pattinson where he has so much more range and doesn't just have good looks
