How Gwyneth Paltrow Reacted to Ex Brad Pitt Marrying Jennifer Aniston | E! News

Gwennneth Paltro admits her reaction to Bradpit marrying Jennifer Aniston. Bradpit married Jennifer Aniston in July 2000. A few years after she and Pit ended their engagement barely a month after her ex- fiance tied the knot, Paltro was quizzed on how she felt about their nuptuals. According to Amy Odel’s Gwennneth, a new biography about the actress and group founder, Paltro told a Toronto star reporter Per Odel when her film duets premiered September 9th, 2000 at the Toronto International Film Festival, “Are you really asking me this question? I can’t comment on this kind of thing. Behind the scenes, according to the book, the Oscar winner had told friends she felt sad when she found out Pit and Aniston were engaged. And Odel wrote, Paltro enjoyed telling her pals that Pit has terrible taste in women. E-news reached out to Paltro’s rep for comment, but has not heard back. It was no secret, however, that her breakup with Pit left a mark. Paltro told Vanity Fair for its September 2000 cover story, “It really changed my life when we split up. Something changed permanently in me. My heart sort of broke that day and it will never be the same. And her comment about Pit’s taste could just as easily have been a self-deprecating dig at herself. She told Vanity Fair, “I think you have to keep yourself intact in order to have a healthy relationship. And I didn’t. I loved every second of it, but it wasn’t healthy. But I wouldn’t change anything. Even the things I hate most about myself for what happened, the darkest moment of it, I wouldn’t change because it’s made me what I am.” Years later, Paltro candidly shared that she was the one who wasn’t in the right headsp space during her relationship with Pit. She said on the Howard Stern show in 2015, “I was such a kid. I was 22 when we met. It’s taken me until 40 to get my head out of my ass. You can’t make that decision when you’re 22 years old. I wasn’t ready and he was too good for me.” Meanwhile, Paltro had been dating Ben Affleck off and on for 2 years when Aniston first flashed her pit design diamond at New York Speak Theater during a sting concert in November 1999.
