[Music] To celebrate Tammy Sllayton’s 39th birthday, we’re looking back at the 1,000 lb sister star Rise to Fame. While growing up in Kentucky with a mom who worked three jobs, Tammy explains on a June episode of the Creative Chaos podcast that she always felt special. Three, four years old was telling Amy that me and her were going to be different. We were going to be the ones to make it on TV, make a name for ourselves. In the first episode of her TLC show, Tammy reveals that after her grandma passed away, she turned to food to cope. She adds, “By 20 years old, she weighed about 500 lb.” She explains to people in 2023 that a health scare in 2014 inspired Tammy to start vlogging with Amy. I found out I had a blood clot in my right lung and I was bored. I was just sitting there watching YouTube videos. I was like, “Why not?” or funny, whatever. Why can’t we do it, too? So, I pitched the idea to her and here we are. Their journey to the small screen began when their videos caught the attention of executives at TLC. A thousand pound sisters premiered in 2020 and over the past seven seasons, Tammy and Amy have undergone dramatic weight loss transformations. After attending a rehabilitation center, making changes to her lifestyle, and undergoing beriatric surgery in 2022, she reveals in an April episode of her show that she’s lost more than 500 lb. In April, Tammy also shared she was dating a woman named Andrea Dalton after Tammy’s husband, Caleb Willingham, passed away at age 40 in 2023. In a recent episode of her show, Tammy explains how Caleb’s death affected her sexuality. A few years ago, I came out as panexual, but after Caleb passing, I just I don’t want to be with men anymore. In June, Tammy revealed she and Andrea are engaged on the Creative Chaos podcast. So, as the TV personality steps into her 39th year, she has a new fiance, ring, and new sense of gratitude for her journey. [Music]

I think hers is the most successful and dramatic weight loss journey I've came across!!!! The body and mind is truly amazing what changes we can make if we reroute our ways of thinking!!!!
