Tom Selleck, 80, Looks Unrecognizable During Rare Outing | E! News

Tom Celich looks unrecognizable during a rare outing. The star was seen running errands around Los Angeles on July 14th. And instead of sporting his iconic mustache, the 80-year-old grew out his hair and was rocking a full gray beard to match his longer salt and pepper hair. Cell kept it comfortable for his outing, dawning black shorts, a black t-shirt, and black sneakers as he hit the gym before grabbing lunch at McDonald’s. The Friend star has kept a low profile since the cancellation of his hit show Blueb Bloods last year, which he said disappointed him. He told TV Insider in October, “My frustration is the show was always taken for granted because it performed from the get-go. For now, Celich appears to be keeping his focus on himself and has embraced the way he looks at all ages in life. In fact, he’s even shut down rumors that he tries to change his appearance, insisting his coloring is all natural.” He told GQ in 2014, “I’m sick of people telling me I dye my hair. This is it, man. I’ve got gray hair in there. At my age, turning gray is kind of a blessing where it softens all of the other horrible things it does to you.” Indeed, Celich isn’t interested in looking like he did when he was younger. He even confessed, “I can’t look the way I looked 20 years ago, and I don’t want some surgeon trying to make me look like that.” And despite being known for his good looks throughout his life, Celich can definitely appreciate that he has changed since his days as a television fixture in the 1980s.
