I’m a non-practicing Catholic. I was saddened when Pope Francis passed because I felt like there was finally a Pope I could look up to. I was worried that the next Pope would try and reverse what I saw as positive changes. Pope Leo is extraordinary. May he have a long Popedom! He seems like someone I’d want to have a beer with after a long day.

It says a lot about how qualified/beloved this man must be, because I don’t think any of the cardinals were under the impression that Americans would be dignified about the Pope being from America, and JD Vance’s vibes were so rancid, Pope Francis just up and died to get further away from him.
