“We Shared Moments That Connected Us”: John Cena on Working With Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Well, I knew of John from his WWE days in India. He’s so well known in the country. It’s like hard to not know him and especially when he made his transition into movies. Um, I thought that was very very interesting and well done and his choice of parts were great. Um, so I was very excited to do this movie with him. What did you know about me? Did you have the same timeline? I think so. When did you start working? What was it? 2002ish. 2002. What? Wow. I often try to lead with honesty and I think ignorance is okay and of course we had our kind of first runin on set. Yeah. First time we met was on set. I think that’s what’s uh brilliant about the being in the creative business if you allow it. You never know who you’re going to meet. You never know the experiences you’ll have. And I just try to to do my best to be decent to work with and in the downtimes um share moments that can make us connect more. And we certainly did that on this movie. And for that I’m grateful.
