Actress Miriam Margolyes has spoken out after calls were made to strip her of her OBE.
The Harry Potter star was accused of spread 'racist bilge', after comparing the Israeli occupation of Gaza to the Nazi Holocaust, reports the Daily Record. The Campaign Against Antisemitism group claims the actress, who is Jewish, should lose a gong she received in 2002 and a Bafta she won in 1993.
Margolyes, who is performing at the Edinburgh Fringe, said: "I have every right to be an OBE.
"They're just chickens*** people who think that's important. It's nonsense.

I am terrified by what it means for future generations of Jews that public calls to end killing children en masse are being labeled as antisemitic . The transitive property there and such.
We should all be ‘anti-killing children’ but apparently it’s a tough choice for some people
