Wednesday Season 2: Cast Details Lady Gaga Role, Dream Guest Stars | E! News

She’s unbelievably sweet and giving and um just uh gracious as a performer and to be able to, you know, spend a day with her shooting was um was an absolute dream. And I think just having her present on the aisle of island just kind of just lifted everybody up, you know, because she is she’s a queen. And she’s on a level that, you know, to be in her presence just for any amount of time is just very memorable. I know what those tears mean. What did you see? Nina dies and it’s all my fault. I die because of you. I will not let history repeat itself. Um, it’s dark. It’s gory. It’s It’s crazy. It’s It’s resurrected. Groundbreaking. Fantabulous. What she said, [Music] Wednesday Adams, it is an honor to meet the savior of Nevermore. Can I get your autograph? I only signed my name in blood. I would expect nothing less. I never said it was my own blood. There’s more of Gomez. There’s more of Morticia and that relationship with Wednesday. And there’s new students in the school. Uh, and Wednesday is, you know, now revered in the school, which really repels her. You’re kind of a big deal now after the whole saving the school from the demon pilgrim thing. Why does anyone still care? You’re really not much of a clout chaser, are you? It’s my favorite season out of the two. Um, and I think for at least both of our characters, you learn a lot more about them and a lot more juice uh to them. too. I’m excited for the fans to be able to finally dig into the our characters pasts. Is that why you’re asking me because I’m a siren? Using your powers of persuasion for a good cause should be applauded. I’m sure you agree. The stakes are higher, but also you get to see and meet uh more of Wednesday’s family, of the Adams family. The only people who deserve to be buried in this dump are the maintenance staff. Grandmama, you’re here. My granddaughter calls out for dirt on a competitor. You practically dared me to show up. I mean, we had the wonderful and incredible Joanna Lumley uh joining our season and uh I think it adds great complexity to the Adams family and the dynamic between the very strong women on the show. You know, I always have such an incredible time shooting with Catherine, but it was so wonderful to add somebody else to the mix and kind of put Morticia in a similar position as Wednesday. I feel like it kind of helps our relationship and we change the way that we interact with one another. And then the way that Matisha feels, not necessarily so, but she feels that you’re pitting against me with grandmama. You seen anybody named Lois around here? the I can’t even call them monsters, but the things that are scariest in it are truly scary. Pretty really great face designs uh all the way through. So, I that’s something that I like to see. So, um there’s uh plenty in season 2 that uh is enticing. [Music] There’s more of that family dynamic, you know. Now, Pugsley is going is going to the school and you see how he feels like an outsider in in the outcast school. Hey, Dad. I found some old mouse traps under the sink. You want a snack? I’m so unbelievably lucky in my life and career this far, but getting to work with you has been um just definitely a highlight. Um it’s so rare that you work with someone um so talented and esteemed and well respected, but then also someone that I’ve looked up to for such a long time, but also just you’re funny. You’re funny. I feel like you don’t get enough credit for how funny and sweet and like silly you are. that truly a day with you on set is so refreshing because you know that you’re going to have a good time and you know you you can relax and loosen up and and that that um kind of natural uh freewheeling nature that you provide on a set is so beneficial to our characters and uh you know breaks up the formulaic routine of television. It’s it’s such a gift. Let me just clone her. You know, it’s really interesting cuz it’s very strange. We all kind of started at the same place aside from Jenna. We were all coming into this as like a first time experience and because of that really bonded you know in season one and coming back to season 2 was such a wonderful reunion. Um and also everybody’s lives have changed so much. So it’s been lovely that we can maintain that sense of camaraderie and togetherness. Yeah. I think we do lots of team building stuff. Uh sort of keeps us going. Yeah. Now that you’re both at Nevermore, I have been wondering what my next chapter might be. The thought of you and father in the house alone, unsupervised fills me with a sense of dread I usually reserve for costume mascots. I go into the studio gates or go onto this, you know, the air the set or the location and it felt like home, you know, I felt safe. It was kind of sequestered in Tim Burton’s world in a way. So there was um it was just a wonderful experience of immersion, of doing hard work, making the best we could possibly be um and having so much fun and enjoyment. It’s just like it’s cathartic. I know your instinct is to give in to her, but we can’t. I can deal with the venomous resentment, but I won’t lose her. And darling, I need your full support. And lucky enough, we have a fan base and the reception that has led Wednesday, led by Jenna’s performance as the Wednesday into this international phenomenon. I’ve been around a long time doing this and I think this is one of the most exciting, you know, I exciting things I’ve ever been involved with. You better show up. I think also during season 1 mo most we were all in a country we’d never been to. We only had each other. Um and so I think the only thing to do was go to each other’s apartments and hang out. I think that’s what formed our very unusually close bond from what I’ve heard uh for other casts is that this is a bit odd that we all like each other so much. Women like us, we forge our own path, dig our own grave. What the hell happened Wednesday happened? Yeah, there’s about 18. You know how like when you save a file in your computer and it’s like final final final. It’s pretty much a bunch of those group chats just we just keep making them and renaming them. Most of them are like failed failed dinner plans. Yeah. Or like have one message in it. Yeah. Do you know who I thought would be funny? He’s a friend of my husband’s obvious many ways. Danny DeVito. Danny Devita would sit it fit in so well with our world. Yeah, he I might have to agree with you on that. I had the pleasure of working with him on Beetlejuice and uh just what an incredible individual. Um so specific and special. Yes. And just a sweeting. Yeah. Yeah. I would love I would love for him to join. Feel like David Tennant would like fit in really nicely. Oh my gosh, that would be awesome. Um, I just love her and she’s part of one of my favorite fantasy series. Uh, Naomi Harris pretty high on my list. Be great. Um, or Tilda Swinten cuz also part of one of my childhood favorite series. Yes. Yeah. Such incredible people. Let’s get all three of them. Yoko Ono, that would be cool. She like in many ways was the ultimate outcast. Yep. Right. and refused to bend like you know she she was who she was always and and it took the world a while to catch up to her and to realize just how cool that’s a great choice. Wow. [Music] Wednesday Adams is here. It’s Adams with two D’s like padded room. I don’t want to I don’t want to say any any of my hopes because then that’ll give away the end of season two. But I will say we we are excited and we hope to see you there. Yeah. [Music]
